Dear NCBC Family, Our day has been a fun day with teaching the kids and teaching them different things.  Throughout the day we reflected on the passage 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not vain." Wednesday can be a difficult day, but we said "praise the victorious Lord" (seung-joo-chan) and remembered that we are doing this for the Lord and his children.   We started the day with teaching the children with english and math.  If the students do well they receive tickets and they are able exchange for gifts at the store on Friday.  A joyful smile for the day.... After studying we started VBS! With extra long praise time... Craft Time... Meet Pastor Kang... Jasper Imitating Pastor! Afterward, we practiced for the dance we are going to do on Sunday! PRAYER REQUESTS: 1. Health- some of us have stomach aches, but none of us got bug bites! 2. Mission team to be united! 3. Be willing to serve with a heart in all we do! Dear NCBC family, Started the day with worship and prayer for the children that came to the VBS that they may be open to the gospel. Through the knowledge of John 1:12 where it talks about how whoever believes in the father that they may be the children of God.  We wanted to let the children know of who Christ is so that they may also be a child of God.  We started with Math and English camp. Teachers teaching and helping students to do their work.    Meet Gyen! This little boy has so much joy in learning! After teaching math and english! We started the VBS! We played the mingling games with the children.... Some of the joy of today.... Meet Yun Byeong!   After the great time with the kids we had dinner and enjoyed the time we had for the night! JAPAN TEAM LOVES ICECREAM! ALSO ENJOYED THE ROOFTOP OF THE CHURCH! PRAYER REQUESTS: 1. Unity of the mission team.  2. Willing heart to serve the Japanese Kids.  3. Dear NCBC Family, We have arrived in Tokyo yesterday past midnight.  Even through the long day of travels we were still able to have a brief meeting for the week to come.  The next day, we were super tired, because of the  lack of sleep, but through the strength of God we were able to finish the day. Through 2 Kings 18:7 "And the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook." We were encouraged to keep his commandment and even if we were anxious we gave all our anxious thoughts to him.  With the encouragement, we put on smiling faces and greeted the children and we were able to teach them. We were so blessed at the children's encouragement to see them study english and math and join us for VBS.  Our lovely praise team, were able to explain and teach the songs to the children.  After praise Pastors Wife helped us with the bible study about the bible verse, which is Isaiah 30:21. We made motions with the verse. The men on the right is Jessie a teacher currently helping the pastors.  And through the verse and the craft we were able to share the gospel through the craft. The craft was how Jesus is the bridge to Heaven and that he is the only way.  After some joyful time of crafts we were able to have some play time with the kids. Here are some joyful smiles.  After the VBS, our mission team, practiced a dance for the non christian people who are going to come on Sunday and ended the long day with  prayer for Tokyo Vision Church and the children who come out to camp and VBS.  A picture of the street that we walk daily from the church to the house.  Prayer Request: 1. Team to have a willing heart to serve even in the midst of sleepiness.  2. Health wise of the team.  3. Unity of the team. 오늘 아침 7명의 일본 단기선교 1차팀이 출발했습니다.  대부분이 유스 학생들로 구성된 1차팀은 3주간 일본에 머물면서 선교사역을 감당하게됩니다.  계속해서 기도해주시기 바랍니다. 

일주일간의 단기선교사역을 잘 마치고 은혜가운데 돌아오게 하신 하나님을 찬양입니다. 

Fifth Day - Day 4 of the Mission 1 John 3:16-18 16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. Smiling and expectant faces Breakfast is served. Craft and VBS team getting ready in the meeting. Gathering for prayer before starting at mission site. Pastor's wife, Mrs. Ventura, and Oliver, the translator. Construction ministry - before the cement wall is put up, job for today is to level the top floor area. VBS Ministry to the younger ladies during the VBS Sports Ministry Closing message and prayer by Pastor Antonio Ventura.  Reminded the kids that a church will be built upon the site and worship will be taking place here! Final day of Construction Ministry - pictures of the adults, staff members, and pastors who have been working on the Construction site. Mission day 4 completed! Back at the basecamp, a little relaxation by playing football before dinner. Day 5 will end with dinner, followed by evening chapel, and then team debrief and prayer meeting.  We have 1 more day of ministry left.  Please continue to pray that the Youth team will stay focused and make lasting impact to the kids at Rosarito so that they can become the salt and light of the area.

Day 2 (Day 1 of Mission work) Morning kicked off with morning worship. Breakfast - breakfast burrito and oatmeal Getting ready for sports ministry Arrived at the mission site that we will be ministering for the next 5 days. Construction site where a brand new church will be built.  The construction team will focus on leveling and cleaning up the foundation, and raise the rear where the main sanctuary will be built. The team waiting for lunch before starting the ministry work. The digging and leveling started after lunch. Vacation Bible Study (VBS) Since the church isn't built out yet, we used the small area next to the house to hold the VBS.  We had 14 kids join VBS today. Sports Ministry   Day 1 Ministry Day completed And returned for wonderful dinner.

Fourth Day - Day 3 of the Mission Manny to kick off the third day of mission! The neighborhood around the mission site.  It seems to be a brand new area that is being developed as there are few houses around the neighborhood, and still many open areas.  There are no churches in this neighborhood, and so this church being built will be the first church and thus that more more important. Day 3 of missionary work at mission site completed On Wednesdays, the staff at the mission center has evening worship at a church.  The mission team decided to go out to dinner and hold our own worship.  Richard, one of the intern staff member, introduced us to a local fish taco place.  As we got to the restaurant, we noticed that it was closed.  Richard was able to talk to the owner and get us in. Worship session Prayer Time From Sister JiYoung: 하나님은 정말 기가 막힌 분이심을 간증합니다.아침 큐티 말씀이 선교팀 안에서 용서하지 못하거나 미워하게 되는 일이 있을 때 어떻게 서로를 용납하고 인내할 것인가.. 였습니다. 늘 그렇듯 말씀을 받으면 바로 시험이 오지요^^. Skit team 연습시간에 문제가 터지고 몇몇 아이들이 결국 울음을 터뜨리고 저렇게 흩어진 마음으로 어떻게 vbs를 할까 싶었습니다. 서로에 대한 불만, 질시....그래도 어느정도 마음들을 정리하고 하루 사역을 마치고 돌아와, 일찍 하루를 정리할 줄 알았는데.... 뜻하지 않게 이어진 기도시간. 아이들이 하나씩 둘씩 자기의 어려운 기도제목을 모두 앞에서 나누고 그들에게 안수하여 눈물로  위하여 기도하는 은혜 충만한 성령님의 임재하심이었습니다. 평생교회 다녔지만 하나님이 살아계시는지 알 수 없어 갈급한 아이, 남을 미워하는 마음으로 가득찬 자신을 중보해달라는 아이들, 친구관계 때문에 우울과 말못할 힘든 상황에 있는 아이들...서로를 위해 기도와 눈물과 'I love you~' hug로 사랑을 확인하고 이곳에 참석한 1/3을 통해 유스 전체에 이런 하나님의 사랑이 충만하도록 뜨겁게 기도했습니다. 정말 우리 유스 안에 성령의 운행하셔서 역사하심과 사랑만이 아이들이 살 길임을 다시 한번 보았습니다. 계속 이 두가지를 위해 기도해주세요.

Third Day - Day 2 of Mission Daily Itinerary: 6:30 am - QT 7:30 am - Morning Chapel 8:30 am - Breakfast 9:30 am - VBS Training meeting, Sports meeting 11:00 am - Leave for Mission Site 11:45 am - Lunch 12:30 pm - Start the mission work 5:00 pm ish return to Yugo 6:00 pm - Dinner 7:30 pm - Evening Chapel 8:30 pm - Evening Debrief session 10:00 pm - Quiet Time/Go to bed All rested and ready for the day 2 of mission: Breakfast time - pancakes and bacon A little game, "hongsam - red ginger", time before the next meeting   Prayer to kickoff the mission day. Today's construction group/teams - overnite the trucks dropped off dirt and rocks on the top level...the job of the crew is to help level it. Blazing heat/sunny day turned into cloudy in matter of hours then dropped a shower. The 2015 YM The Way Summer Mission Trip to Mexico began early on Sunday morning, June 28th.  The mission trip is made up of 20 youth, 7 adults plus Manny for a total of 28.  In order to get to Rosarito, Mexico, we got together at church for 6 am worship and left for Mexico around 7:30am. The team made it to the basecamp at Rosarito, Mexico by 6 pm.  Waiting to get a quick debrief by the staff. Even after a long day of drive, the youth are all in smiles ;) The Pastor and his family that we will be supporting during this mission trip. We were treated to tasty tacos with homemade tortillas for dinner...yummy! Boys were getting ready for a quick soccer match after dinner. Photo time for the young ladies. The ladies... Evening worship and introduction of the staff. The 20 youth were split into 5 groups who will be focusing on VBS, Praise/Craft, & Construction. and of course Manny ;)

오늘 아침 총 29명의 유스 멕시코 단기선교팀이 출발했습니다.  이른 아침 주일 예배를 드리고, 7시30분 9시간에 걸쳐 운전하며 멕시코로 가게 됩니다.  계속해서 업데이트 되는 멕시코 단기 선교 소식을 보고 함께 기도해주시기 바랍니다.  (6시 주일예배 드리는 선교팀) (Girls) (Boys) (New Church Van)

터키 단기 선교 간증:  부육아다 섬 사역                                                                                                                                                                           이은영 떠나기 일주일전에 가까스로 터키 단기 선교팀에 합류한 저는 구하고 순종하면 환경이 막히고, 사탄이 막아도 하나님이 갈 길을 열어주시고 인도하신다는 것을 경험하는 은혜가운데 터키 단기 선교를 시작하였습니다.  우리팀 8명은 3개의 다른 비행기로 나눠타고 이스탐불에 도착하여 부육아다 섬 사역을 위해 모인 다른 교회 팀들과 합류하였습니다.  육체가 허약한 사람들은 마차를 타고 건장한 사람들은 걸어서 산 중턱에 모여 교회별로 자리를 잡고 먼저 기도와 찬송으로 어둡고 황폐한 땅을 기경하며 복음의 씨앗을 뿌릴 준비 작업을 하였습니다.  날씨는 춥고 비는 부슬부슬 오고 있었지만 부육아다섬은 잡상인들, 미신적인 힘에 의지하여 자신들의 소원을 이루고자하는 사람들, 복음 전파를 위하여 모인 크리스챤들로 북적 거렸습니다.  터키 무슬림들이 대부분인 이날의 방문객들은 “실이 끊어지지 않고 목적지까지 간다면 소원이 이루어질 것”이라는 미신을 믿으며, 손과 손에 실과 실팽이를 들고 실이 끊어지지 않도록 실타래를 조심스럽게 풀며 정교회가 있는 산 정상으로 향하고 있었습니다.  또 다른 방문객들은 상자에 담긴 각 설탕을 나누어 주며 설탕 조각이 입안에서 사르르 녹듯이 자신들의 삶도 어려움없이 평탄하게 풀릴 수있도록 기원하며 정상으로 향하고 있었습니다. 기도와 찬양으로 준비 작업을 끝낸 저희팀은 무슬림을 위해 직접 기도를 해주는 팀, 중보기도팀, 그리고 복음 전도팀등 3팀으로 나누었습니다.  저는  복음 전도팀의 일원으로 지나가는 사람들을 붙잡고 복음 팔찌를 끼워주며 복음을 전하고 기도하는 팀들과 연결해 주는 사역을 했습니다.  복음 팔찌를 설명하고 있자면, 어느새, 지나가던 사람들이 하나 둘씩 모여들어 정말로 진지하게 설명을 듣고 일부는 기도 받기를 원하였습니다.  날씨는 비록 춥고 비는 오지만 나는 너무나 신이나서 어색한 터키말로 이사 메시 시즈 세비요르 (Jesus Loves You)를 외치며 마음껏 이 어둡고 황폐한 땅에 복음의 씨앗을 뿌렸습니다.  한번은 복음을 강력하게 거부하는 무슬림을 만났는데, 복음 전파를 위해, 부육아다 섬 사역을 위해 머나먼 미국 땅에서 왔다고하니 단지 복음 전파를 위해 그 머나먼 길을 왔냐며 너희 종교는 정말로 대단한 종교임에 틀림이 없다고 호기심 어린 눈으로 처다 보았습니다.  정말로 많은 무슬림을 만났고 복음을 전파하였으며 축복 기도를 하였습니다.  아마 일부는 복음을 알아듣지도 이해하지도 못했을 것입니다.  하지만 여리고성을 도는 심정으로 다음번에는 누군가가 내 뒤를 이어 이 여리고성을 돌아 주기를 소망하며 신나고 즐겁게 복음을 전파했습니다.  주님과 동행하는 꿈같은 시간이었습니다.  살아서 역사하시는 하나님께서 그들의 심령을 흔들고, 그 땅을 묶고있는 악한 영들을 예수 그리스도의 권세로 묶고, 그 땅을 그리스도의 보혈로 덮기를 간구하며, 죽어가는 영혼들을 위하여 기도하는 은혜의 시간이었습니다.

5월 9일 토요일 아침예배시간에 터키 단기선교팀의 선교보고가 있었습니다. 먼저 터키에서 여러나라에서 온 분들과 단기선교팀원들이 함께 예배 드리며 큰 은혜를 받으셨던  "God is so Good" 몇 나라말로 부르며 진정으로 우리 주님의 모든 민족의 주 이심을 고백하며 선교보고를 시작했습니다. 손목사님께서 이번 사역 특히 시리아 난만사역을 통해 하나님이 일하시는 모습을 체험함을 간단히 나누어 주셨습니다. 김기택목사님의 인도로 터키 선교보고가 시작되었습니다... 동영상을 통한 사역내용 소개에 이어 두분이 간증을 하였습니다. 송윤아자매의 간증.. 부흥에떄 도전의 말씀을 받고 갑자기 단기선교에 가기로 결정하고 준비가 잘 되지 않은 상태에서 갔지만 왜 주님의 가도록 하였는지를 깨닫고 오시고 또 새누리 청년공동체와 나눔을 통하여 더 많은 성도님들이 참여하도록 간증과 나눔을 가지도록 하겠다는 의지도 보여 주셨습니다.  이번 단기선교에 몸이 많이 좋지 않으셔서 가장 힘들었었던 김부열형제님의 간증.  시리안 난민은 난민들에게는 큰 고통의 시간들일지 모르지만 이들을 통하여 복음의 전파가 가능케하시게 하는 하나님의 계획이라는 간증과 함께시리아 난민을 위한 단기선교는 일년에 한번이 아니라 새누리의 많은 젊은 청년들과 자매들이 참여하여지속적으로 하였으면 하는 간절함을 호소하셨습니다.  이번에 같이 터키 단기선교에 참여하셨던 김기택목사님..간증과 함께 말씀으로 저희에게 도전의 말씀을 전해 주셨습니다.
