샬롬! 오늘은 아마존 선교 4일차 이자, 정든 아마존 강변 마을을 떠나 사역지를 마나우스로 옮기는 날입니다.아마존을 강변마을을 떠나기 전 주변 마을로 들어가 노방전도를 계획 하였습니다.Shalom! Today is the 4th day of the Amazon mission, and it's the day we leave the familiar riverside village of the Amazon to move our ministry location to Manaus.Before leaving the riverside village, we planned to go into the surrounding villages to do street evangelism.사역에 앞서 선교의 아침은 늘 예배와 소그룹 모임으로 일정을 시작합니다.Before beginning our ministry, the morning of every mission day always starts with worship and small group meetings.은혜로 웠던 예배와 나눔을 마무리하고 목사님께서 오늘 진행하게 될 노방전도에 대하여 간략하게 설명해 주셨습니다우선 배를 타고 주변 마을로 가서 그 마을 교회에서 예배를 드리고, 현지 교인분들과 함께 조를 이루어 그 마을 사람들을 찾아가 복음을 전하기로 하였습니다After concluding a grace-filled time of worship and sharing, the pastor gave us a brief explanation about the street evangelism we would be doing today.First, we would take a boat to a nearby village, attend a worship service at the local church there, and then form teams with the local believers to go out and share the gospel with the people of that village.기분 좋은 설레임과 긴장감을 동시에 마음에 품으며, 오늘은 하나님이 어떤 영혼을 만나게 하실지, 그 마음 밭에 복음의 씨앗이 잘 뿌리 내려저30배 60배 100배에 다라는 열매가 맺일지 기대하는 마음으로 배 위에 올라 타는 팀원들의 모습을 볼수 있었습니다With a mix of joyful anticipation and nervousness in their hearts, the team members boarded the boat, wondering what kind of souls God would lead them to meet today.There was a sense of hopeful expectation — that the seeds of the gospel would be sown into hearts prepared by God, and that they would take root and bear fruit thirty, sixty, even a hundredfold.그 마을에 도착하기 까지, 교회에서 제공받은 복음 팔찌와 복음 어플을 들고 서로를 대상으로 시뮬레이션을 하며복음을 전파하고 또 복음을 받는 기분좋은 연습을 하였습니다.On the way to the village, we practiced sharing the gospel with one another using the gospel bracelets and the gospel app provided by the church.We simulated both giving and receiving the message of the gospel, and it was a joyful and uplifting time of preparation.마을이 보이기 시작합니다. 그땐 노방전도의 두근거림 때문에 미쳐 눈에 들어오진 않았지만, 이제보니 참.. 아름답네요, 하나님이 지으신 세계는...The village began to come into view.At the time, the excitement and nervousness of the upcoming street evangelism kept us from fully taking it in — but looking back now, I realize... it was truly beautiful.The world that God has created is indeed wondrous.이제 배에서 내려 현지 교회가 있는곳 까지 약 10분여 정도를 걸어 마을 속으로 들어갔습니다.주변을 둘러보며 현지의 사정은 어떤지 이곳에 사람들은 어떻게 일상을 살아가는지 자연스럽게 그들의 삶의 눈과 마음이 머물렀습니다.We disembarked from the boat and walked about 10 minutes into the village toward the local church.As we walked, our eyes and hearts naturally settled on the lives of the people here — taking in the surroundings, wondering about their daily lives, and observing what everyday living looks like in this place.현지 교회에 도착하여, 황두식 목사님이 전해주시는 설교 말씀 이였던"기록된바 아름답도다 좋은 소식을 전하는 자들의 발이여 함과 같으니라..." (롬 10:15)을 들으며 앞으로 진행되고 만날 영혼들을 위하여 기도하고 또 우리가 그러한 아름다운 사람이 되길 바라는 마음으로 예배를 드렸습니다.Upon arriving at the local church, we joined in worship as Pastor Hwang Doo-sik delivered the sermon.He shared the verse: “As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.’” (Romans 10:15)As we listened to the Word, we prayed for the souls we were about to meet and minister to. With sincere hearts, we worshiped, hoping that we, too, would become those beautiful messengers who bring good news.예배가 마무리가 되어가던 때에, 같이 예배를 드리던 한 노부부가 기도 제목이 있다며 강단위로 성큼성큼 걸어 나왔습니다.아내가 나이가 들며 치매 증상으로 인해 기억이 하나 둘씩 없어지고 있다는 남편의 기도제목...그 안타까운 마음에 온 교회 성도 뿐만 아니라 선교팀 전원 그 부부에게 특별이 할머님께 손을 얹고 하나님이 사랑하시는 그 딸의 회복을 위하여무엇보다 하나님과 하나님이 배푸셨던 은혜를 기억하고 평생 잊지 않게 해달라고 간절히 기도하였습니다.As the worship service was coming to a close, an elderly couple who had been worshiping with us quietly but firmly stepped up to the front, saying they had a prayer request.The husband shared that his wife had been gradually losing her memory due to the symptoms of dementia that come with aging.Moved by the sorrow in his voice, not only the local congregation but our entire mission team gathered around the couple. We laid hands on the elderly woman and prayed fervently for her healing — above all, that she would remember God and the grace He had poured out on her life.We prayed earnestly for the restoration of this beloved daughter of God, whom He dearly loves. 예배를 마친후 현지 교인분들과 교재를 나누며, 노방전도를 나갈 조를 만들었습니다.선교팀 4 + 현지인 1After the worship service, we had a fellowship and formed teams for the street evangelism.Each team consisted of 4 mission members plus 1 local member.자 출발!!!!!!Let's Go!!정말 한 영혼을 사랑하는 마음으로 마을분들 모두를 찾아 다닐 기세로 구석구석 누비며 다녔습니다.With genuine love for each soul, we went door to door throughout the village, determined to reach everyone, exploring every corner with heartfelt zeal.그렇게 구석구석 누비던 줄 선교팀에게 어려움이 하나 찾아왔습니다...화창했더 날씨가 갑자기 어두워 지더니폭우가 내리기 시작하였습니다...The bright sunny weather suddenly darkened,and before we knew it, it started pouring rain heavily...단순 소나기인줄 알았던 비는 장시간에 걸쳐 내리는 장대비가 되었고...비를 맞으며 걷던 선교팀을 보던 마을 사람들이 비를 피하라며 그들의 집 지붕 밑, 심지어 그들의 집 안으로 불러 그들에게 복음을 전할수 있었고,쓰고 저희 배가 있는 곳까지 가라며 그들의 우산 까지 내어 주기도 하였습니다. What we thought was just a simple shower turned into a heavy downpour that lasted for a long time...Seeing the mission team walking in the rain, the villagers invited them to take shelter under their roofs, and some even welcomed them inside their homes, giving the team opportunities to share the gospel.They even offered their umbrellas and kindly urged the team to head back to the boat safely.비가 그치고 모인 선착장 앞, 저희를 도와 같이 노방전도에 나섰던 아이들을 위하여 축복하는 시간도 가지고,After the rain stopped, gathered in front of the dock, we took time to bless the children who had helped us with the street evangelism,아마존에서 믿음으로 성장하고 있는 다음 세대가 있어 참 다행이였고그 아이들의 믿음의 성장이 더더욱 장성하여 지기를 바라며 마을에 작별인사를 하였습니다. It was truly a blessing to see a next generation growing in faith here in the Amazon.As we said our goodbyes to the village, we prayed that the faith of these children would continue to grow and mature even more — becoming strong and steadfast in the Lord. 강변마을 노방전도 사역을 끝으로, 이제 정든 아마존 땅을 떠나 마나우스로 돌아가는 날입니다.정리하지 못하였던 개인짐들과 마지막 챙겨야 할 짐까지 최종 점검 후 다시 배에 올라 타는 팀원들의 모습입니다.With the street evangelism ministry in the riverside village now complete, today marks the day we leave the beloved land of the Amazon and return to Manaus.After doing a final check of our personal belongings — including the last few items we hadn’t yet packed — the team members boarded the boat once again, ready for the journey ahead.이제 배를 타고 똑같이 5시간에 걸쳐 마나우스로 돌아갑니다.Now, we board the boat once again for the 5-hour journey back to Manaus.작년과 같이 아마존 사역에서 있었던 은혜를 나누고 또 기뻐 찬양하며 돌아가는 5시간을 알차게 채우려 합니다.Just like last year, we plan to make the most of the 5-hour journey back by sharing the grace we experienced during our time in the Amazon, and joyfully praising God together as we return.우리 통역을 도와 줬던 현지인 3인방도K-주일학교 E코드 메들리 율동에서 빠질수 없죠 ㅎㅎOf course, our three local translators — who helped us so much — couldn't miss out on the K-Sunday School E-Chord medley dance!They joined in with joy, moving along to the familiar rhythms and motions, making the moment even more fun and memorable. 그렇게 열심이 주일학교 율동을 하던중 불거진 해뜨는데 부터 해 지는데 까지 대치동vs영등포 스타일 율동논쟁!여러분은 어디 쪽 율동을 알고 계신가요? 둘다 아니시라면 댓글로 알려주세요 ㅎㅎ 또 영상으로 함께하시겠습니다ChatGPT said:While we were energetically dancing to the Sunday School medley, an unexpected but hilarious debate broke out:Daechi-dong vs. Yeongdeungpo-style dance battle! Bom Dia!!오늘은 아마존에서 맞이하는 2번째 날입니다.Today is the second day at Amazon.오늘도 어제와 비슷한 일정이라 팀원들 모두 여유있게 일어나겠지? 하였지만다들 아침 일찍 부터 일어나 분주하게 하루를 준비하고 있어, 저도 후다닥 하루를 팀과 함께 시작하였습니다.I thought today would have a schedule similar to yesterday, so the team members would probably take it easy and get up slowly, right?But everyone was already up early in the morning, busily getting ready for the day, so I quickly got myself together and started the day with the team.여전히 분주한 마음들을 이제는 잠시 내려놓고, 하나님께 아침 예배의 자리로 나아가며 브라질 아마존 땅 에서의 하루를 시작하였습니다.Still carrying busy hearts, we took a moment to lay them down and stepped into a time of morning worship before God, beginning our day here in the land of the Brazilian Amazon.조별로 나뉘어 각자가 나눈 큐티 말씀들을 각자 마음에 세기며 하루를 시작하기로 합니다!We divided into small groups, we each reflected on and shared our QT (Quiet Time) verses, setting them in our hearts as we began the day!오늘 진행될 VBS와 의료 사역들을 위하여 다 같이 모여 한마음으로 기도하고VBS팀은 1층에서 아이들을, 의료팀은 2층으로 돌아가 환자들을 돌보고 시작하였습니다.We all gathered together and prayed with one heart for the VBS and medical missions scheduled for today.The VBS team began by welcoming the children on the first floor, while the medical team headed to the second floor to care for the patients.그렇게 몸과 마음으로 준비를 하다, 문뜩 창밖을 내다 보았더니, 몇몇 아이들이 30분 전부터 교회 앞에서 서성이는 모습들을 보았습니다.이에 몇몇 선생님들이 나가서 아이들과 잠시 동안 놀아주기로 했습니다.As we were getting ready both physically and spiritually, I happened to glance out the window and saw a few children wandering in front of the church—already there 30 minutes early.So a few of the teachers went outside to play with the kids for a little while. Looks like the game team really went all out again today!그렇게 얼마나 줄을 신나게 뛰어 넘었을까 무심코 올려다본 하늘엔...After all that joyful jumping, just as we were catching our breath and glanced up at the sky...There it was… 무지개...Rainbow...“내가 내 무지개를 구름 속에 두었나니 이 것이 나와 세상 사이의 언약의 증거니라” 창 (9:13)하나님의 생명의 약속을 보며, 우리가 생명을 살리기 위하여 이땅에 와 있다라는 것을 다시 마음속에 새길수 있었습니다.“I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” — Genesis 9:13As we looked up and saw God’s promise of life painted across the sky, we were reminded once again, deep in our hearts, of why we are here—to bring life, hope, and the love of Christ to this land.그렇게 어느덧 시간은 흘려 둘째날 VBS아이들에게도 작별의 시간이 찾아 왔습니다.And just like that, time flew by—and the moment to say goodbye to the children of our second day of VBS had come. 준비해 갔던 선물들을 아이들에게 주며 아쉬운 마음을 뒤로하고, 아이들에게 나중에 또 보자는 인삿말과 함께 해어졌습니다.With a bit of sadness in our hearts, we handed out the gifts we had prepared for the children.Saying, “See you again!” with hopeful smiles, we waved goodbye and parted ways—for now.아쉬운 마음에 페이스 페인팅도 판박이도 해주며, 아이들이 다 집에 갈때까지 시간을 함께 보냈습니다.With hearts not quite ready to say goodbye, we spent more time with the children—offering face painting and fun temporary tattoos—staying with them until the very last one headed home.자 우리 의료팀을 위하여 박수! VBS  팀을 위하여 박수!Let’s give a big round of applause for our medical team! And another huge cheer for the VBS team! All their hard work made today truly special! 말씀을 인도하시고, 최강브라질팀의 리더이신 황목사님깨도 !! 박수!!!   J.Hwang: Obrigado단체사진을 마지막으로 둘째날 VBS를 마칩니다.With a group photo to wrap things up, we bring the second day of VBS to a close.Looking forward to what tomorrow will bring!오후에는 현지 목요 예배가 있어, VBS 를 최대한 마무리 하고 준비해서 바로 예배를 드리러 가려 합니다.In the afternoon, there’s a local Thursday worship service, so we’re planning to wrap up VBS as much as possible and get ready to head straight to the service.VBS와 의료사역 정리 할 시간도 모자르기도 하지만 모두가 같은 한마음으로 예배를 드릴수 있다는 것에 먼 곳이라도 팀원 모두 기대하는 마음으로 출발 하였습니다Though there wasn’t quite enough time to fully wrap up VBS, the thought of all of us coming together in one heart for worship—even in a far-off place—filled us with anticipation.With that shared excitement, the whole team set out, ready to worship.출발하면서 말씀을 전하실 목사님을 위하여 기도하고 As we set out, we took a moment to pray for the pastor who would be sharing the message— lifting him up so that God's word would be spoken boldly and clearly through him.또 선교사님 내외 분들을 위하여 기도하고We also prayed for the missionary couple— asking for strength, protection, and continued grace as they serve faithfully in this land. 그렇게 30여분 쯤 지났을때 어딘선가 보이는 빨간~ 불빛에이 제발.. 설마...After about 30 minutes on the road, suddenly… we spotted a flashing red light in the distance.Oh no… please, no... not that…작년 선교일지를 보신분들은 아시겠지만, 에어컨이 되지 않는 구식 소형 버스 A.K.A 모기버스가 우리를 교회로 대려다 주기 위하여 기다리고 있었습니다.if you read last year’s mission journal, you’ll know exactly what this means…Waiting to take us to the church was the old, small bus without air conditioning—affectionately (or not) known as the “Mosquito Bus.”Yes... it’s back.버스에 자리가 남아 있지 않아 같이온 차 뒷 트렁크에 앉아서 가기로 하였습니다. Since there weren’t any seats left on the bus, some of us decided to ride in the back trunk of the car we came in.Not the most comfortable option—but with cheerful hearts, we made it work 그렇게 현지 교회에 예배를 드리러 잘 도착하였습니다.And just like that, we arrived safely at the local church for worship.Tired but joyful, ready to lift our hearts in praise. 경건과 찬양의 즐거움 그 어딘다가에 있는 우리 팀원들 (자세한 내용은 영상으로 만나보시죠!)The joy of devotion and praise—wherever it may be—our amazing team members! (For the full story, check out the video!) 목사님의 설교 도중 정전이 되는 사고가 일어나기도 하고 스킷 도중에 음악이 꺼지는 바람에 갑분싸가 되기도 하였습니다. 그러나오늘날 우리가 현지인들과 함께 예배함으로서 여러가지를 느낄수 있엇는데요바로 서로 사랑으로 전심을 다해 해주는 기도 였습니다.During the pastor’s sermon, there was a sudden power outage, and the music unexpectedly stopped in the middle of a skit, leaving the room in awkward silence for a moment.But despite the hiccups, something beautiful stood out—Worshiping together with the local believers reminded us of the power of prayer offered in love and with all our hearts.No stage lights, no perfect timing—just genuine faith and heartfelt intercession.우선은 개척을 하신 클라우지우 목사님과, 현재 이 교회에서 헌신하고 계신 목사님을 위하여 기도하였습니다.First, we lifted up prayers for Pastor Cláudio, who founded the church, and for the current pastor faithfully serving and dedicating himself to this congregation.We prayed for strength, wisdom, and God's continued guidance in their ministry.그 다음은 서로를 위하여 기도하는 시간을 가졌습니다.언어도, 문화도 다른 그들을 어떻게 나의 형제로 자매로서 전심으로 나를 위해 기도해 줄수 있을까 라는 질문은 늘 해온것 같습니다.그러나 곳곳에서 볼수 있는 아맨과 할렐루야, 또 눈물로서 누군가를 전심으로 기도해 주는 것을 보며 그런 외형적인 것들은 그리스도의 사랑을 실천하는것에 있어 큰 의미가 없다는 것을 느낄수 있었습니다.Next, we had a time of prayer for one another.I've often wondered: “How can someone so different from me—in language, in culture—pray for me as a true brother or sister, with all their heart?”And yet, in that place, we saw it clearly— cries of “Amen” and “Hallelujah” echoing around the room, tears falling as people prayed earnestly for others they had just met.It was truly a beautiful sight—a glimpse of the body of Christ united in love and faith beyond borders. 그렇게 현지 목요예배를 마무리 하고 다시 베이스 캠프로 가기로 했습니다.And with that, we wrapped up the local Thursday worship service and began our journey back to base camp.Hearts full, spirits lifted, and one step closer to the next chapter of this mission.내일은 아침에 아마존 주변 으로 노방전도를 나가기에, 시간이 부족하여 늦은 시간 피곤한 몸이만 지금 까지 사역했던 짐들을 다시 정리해야만 했습니다.Since we’ll be heading out for street evangelism around the Amazon area early tomorrow morning, time is tight.Though it was late and our bodies were tired, we still had to reorganize and pack up all the supplies from the ministry we've carried out so far.팀 구분 없이 서로 협력하여 모든 짐들과 사용했던 교회를 깨끗하게 정리하였습니다. 내일은 아마존 근방 예배후 노방전도를 나가게 됩니다. 만날 만 한 사람들을 만나게 하시고, 한 영혼을 잃어 버렸다 다시 찾은 아버지의 마음을 느낄수 있는 소중한 시간이 되길 기도해 주세요!Without dividing by team, everyone came together to help—cleaning up the church we used and packing all the supplies with care and unity.Tomorrow, after a nearby worship gathering in the Amazon region, we’ll be heading out for street evangelism.Please pray that we would encounter those whom God has prepared for us to meet—and that through this, we may deeply experience the Father’s heart for even one lost soul who is found again.May it be a truly precious and grace-filled time.....오늘의 엔딩요정 최강 브라질팀 최고 아름다운 미소를 가진 두 자매님의 미소로 최강 브라질 Day 3를 마칩니다Today’s ending fairies:With the radiant smiles of two sisters—members of the mighty Brazil team, we beautifully wrap up Brazil Mission Day 3.최강 브라질팀, 사랑하고 축복합니다! 

샬롬 오늘은 이곳 아마존에서 본격적인 VBS와 의료사역의 첫날입니다.물론 어제 모든것을 준비하고 취침하였지만, 사역의 첫날이기도 하고 혹시나 놓친 것이 있을까? 팀원들 모두 아침 일찍 부터 일어나 분주히 움직였습니다.Shalom! Today marks the official first day of our VBS and medical missions here in the Amazon.Although we had everything prepared and went to bed last night, the fact that it's the first day of ministry—and the thought that we might have missed something—had everyone up early and moving busily this morning. We began the day with prayer, preparing our hearts and minds with a sense of anticipation for what God will do in this land today.분주히 준비하던것들을 잠시 멈추고밤새 지켜주신 하나님께 감사의 예배를, 또 오늘 모든 사역의 시종을 하나님께 의탁하는 예배를 드렸습니다.We paused our busy preparations for a moment to offer a service of thanksgiving to God, who watched over us through the night, and to dedicate the beginning and end of today’s ministries into His hands.찬양과 말씀 후 큐티로 오늘 하루 우리에게 주신 말씀들을 기억하고 나누며 오늘 하루를 다짐하는 시간도 가졌습니다.After a time of praise and the Message, we spent time in Quiet Time (QT), reflecting on and sharing the message God has given us for today, and committing ourselves to live it out throughout the day.아침 예배를 은혜롭게 마무리하며 하나님께 감사 드리고이제 다시 오늘 하루 진행할 사역들을 각자 흩어져 준비하기로 하였습니다.As we wrapped up the morning worship with hearts full of grace and gratitude to God, we then dispersed to prepare for the day’s ministries, each team member returning to their respective roles.  분장도 변신도 필요했고, 챙기지 못했었던 약도, 썬글라스도 이제 준비가 잘 되어진 것 같으니, 아이들과 도움이 필요한 환자분들만 오시면 만사 오케이!!Costumes and makeovers were needed for VBS Team, and Medicine and sunglasses we had forgotten to display are now ready— so as long as the children and patients in need show up, everything will be perfectly in place!자!!!!! 드디어!!!!!!!! 아이들이!!!!!!!! 들어옵니다!!!!!!!정말 기도하는 마음으로 아이들과 도움이 필요한 환자들을 기다렸던 팀원들의 기도 제목들이 이루어진 감격적인 순간이였습니다. It was a deeply moving moment, as the heartfelt prayers of our team members—who had been waiting with such anticipation and faith for the children and patients in need—were beautifully answered열심히 앞에 선생님을 따라 율동 하는 아이들!The children eagerly followed the teacher at the front, dancing and doing the motions with so much energy and joy!그리고 하트!And of course—lots of hearts!  The kids made heart signs with their hands, filling the room with love and excitement.아이들과 함께 목사님의 말씀을 들으며 아이들의 귀와 마음에도 복음이 들어가는 순간이였습니다.As we listened to the pastor's message together with the children, it was a precious moment when the Gospel gently entered not only their ears but also their hearts.같은 시간 2층 의료사역팀도 슬슬 사역이 시작 되었습니다.At the same time, on the second floor, the medical missions team also began their work, slowly getting into the flow of the day’s ministry.  말도 잘 통하지 않을 뿐만 아니라, 많은 의료 전문적인 단어들이 난무하는 곳이지만 그들의 낫고자 하는 간절함들이, 통역을 통하여 또 번역기를 통하여도 고스란히 전달 되었습니다.Though communication was challenging—with language barriers and an abundance of complex medical terms—the patients’ sincere desire to be healed was clearly conveyed, whether through interpreters or even translation apps.물론 너무나 귀한 우리 의료팀의 실력도 실력이지만, 결국 환자를 낫게하시는 이 는 하나님 뿐임을 그리고 그 간절함을 하나님께 기도로 아뢰고,혹여나 환자들 중 그리스도를 주로 믿지 않는 자가 있다면, 오늘로서 영접하게 되길 간절한 마음으로 기도해드렸습니다. Of course, while we are deeply grateful for the incredible skill and dedication of our medical team, we were reminded once again that true healing ultimately comes from God alone.So we lifted up each patient in prayer, asking God to respond to their deep longing for healing. And for those who do not yet know Christ as their Lord, we prayed with sincere hearts that today would be the day they come to receive Him.자 이제 다시 1층으로 내려가 우리 VBS팀과 아이들은 뭘 하면서 놀고 있을지 볼까요?Now, let’s head back down to the first floor— shall we see what our VBS team and the children are up to and how they’re playing together?승훈형제가 크레프트팀 선생님이 되어 아이들에게 열심히 설명을 하고 계셨네요 ㅎㅎThere was Brother Liam, serving as the craft team teacher, enthusiastically explaining the activity to the children—so full of energy and heart! 오늘 크레프트의 주제는 오병이어의 빵과 물고기를 담았던 광주리 만들기 입니다.가진것을 내어줬던 어린아이의 마음이 많은 이들을 먹이게 된 그 바구니 인데요Today’s craft theme was making baskets that held the loaves and fishes from the feeding of the 5,000.These baskets represent the heart of the young boy who gave what he had, which was then used to feed many.다른 선생님들도 각 조로 흩어져 아이들을 도와 준비해온 만들기를 하며즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.The other teachers also spread out among the groups, helping the children with the crafts they had prepared in advance, sharing joyful and meaningful moments together. 자! 이제 만들기도 다 했겠다!아이들과 선생님 다 좋아하는 게임타임!Alright! Now that the crafts are all finished— it’s time for Game Time, the moment both the kids and the teachers have been waiting for! 게임팀 총괄인 경호형제가 나와 아이들이 그 어느때보다 즐겁고 안전하게 즐길수 있도록, 룰에 대해 잘 이야기 하고 있는 모습입니다Brother Kyung-ho, the head of the game team, stepped up to explain the rules clearly, making sure the children could have the most fun while staying safe.자 첫번째 게임! K-어린이들의 국민 게임인 무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다!Alright, first game!“Red Light! Green Light!” : the beloved Korean children’s game everyone knows and loves!브라질 친구들에게 룰이 다소 생소할수 있어 하늘 선생님의 설명과 다른 선생님들의 데모버전으로아이들에게 K-전통 놀이의 즐거움을 선사해 주었습니다.Since the rules might have been unfamiliar to our Brazilian friends, Sister Kayleah and the other teachers demonstrated the game, bringing the joy of this traditional Korean play to the children.그 어느때보다 진지했던 데모 플레이....ㅋThe demo play was more serious than ever...  Everyone was so focused—it almost felt like a championship match!이쯤 되면 잘~ 설명 된것 같으니 이제 본게임으로 넘어가 봅시다!At this point, it seems the rules were explained perfectly— so let’s jump into the real game! Let the fun begin!자 무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다 를 이어 2 번째 K-전통 놀이참! 참! 참!Following Red Light! Green Light!, it was time for our second K-traditional game:Cham! Cham! Cham!사진으로는 다 표현할수 없는 웃음과 즐거움이 난무 했던 현장 이였습니다.It was a scene filled with laughter and joy—a moment so full of fun that no photo could ever fully capture the energy and smiles!즐겁게 게임을 즐겼으니, 이제 아이들에게 간식을 나눠줄 시간이 되었습니다.After all the fun and excitement, it was finally time to hand out snacks to the children! A sweet little break to recharge and enjoy a treat together.오늘 아이들의 간식은, 오병이어 만큼은 아니지만, 작은 것에서 큰 음식으로 변화하는 팝콘!!Today’s snack for the kids wasn’t quite the five loaves and two fish— but just like that miracle, it was something small that turns into something big...Popcorn! A perfect reminder of how even little things can bring joy and be multiplied! 그렇게 간식을 끝으로 오전 세션을 마무리 하였지만?마무리 같지 않았던 이유가 있었습니다.And so, with the snack time, we wrapped up the morning session— but it didn’t feel like an ending at all...There was a good reason for that!바로 밖에서 비누방울과, 페이스 페인팅과 판박이를 진행했기 때문이죠That’s because Bubbles and face painting and temporary tattoos were happening just outside! The fun continued as the kids lined up excitedly, eager to get their faces painted and pick out their favorite designs. 그렇게 원래는 쉬는시간이여야 했던 1시간 가량의 시간조차 아이들과 시간을 보내는 것으로 대신하였고And just like that, even the hour originally meant for rest turned into more time spent with the children—sharing laughter, creativity, and joy.이제 오후 세션으로 넘어가려 합니다!  Now, we’re ready to move into the afternoon session!오후 세션도 동일하게 진행되었습니다. 오프닝 찬양과 크레프트 그리고 또 게임 그리고 간식The afternoon session followed a similar structure—starting with opening praise, then moving into craft time, followed by more games, and of course, snacks to wrap it up!같은 시각 2층 의료 사역팀도, 오후 사역을 시작 하였습니다.At the same time, on the second floor, the medical missions team began their afternoon session as well— continuing to serve with care, compassion, and prayer.  자 의료팀 사역도 순조롭게 진행되고 있는거 같으니 다시 1층으로 내려가 볼까요?어? 예배당이 비어잇는데?아~ 게임 시간이라 밖으로 나갔군요!Looks like the medical team’s ministry is going smoothly, so let’s head back down to the first floor.Hmm? The worship hall is empty...Ah, of course! It’s game time, so everyone must have gone outside!오전에는 K-전통놀이로 아이들의 마음을 사로 잡았었다면이번에는 글로벌 하게 아이들이 좋아하는 술래잡기!In the morning, we captured the children’s hearts with traditional Korean games but this time, it was time for a globally loved favorite: tag!아니 100도가 넘어가는 날씨인데도 아이들은 저렇게나 쌩쌩 잘 달리 더라구요...?Right? Even in temperatures soaring above 100 degrees, the kids were running around full of energy like it was nothing!술래잡기는 몸풀기였다!이제는 본게임! 브라질 하면 축구! 축구하면 브라질다음 게임은 기대하시라 축구!!!Tag was just a warm-up!Now, for the main event—when you think of Brazil, you think of soccer; and when you think of soccer, you think of Brazil.Get ready for the next game: Soccer!  비록 아이들의 게임성 축구 경기였지만브라질의 쌈바 축구의 열정을, 브라질 축구의 미래의 밝음을 다시금 확인할수 있는 좋은 기회였습니다.축구를 좋아하는 선생님들 또한 같이 뛰며 그 순간을 즐겼습니다.Though it was a kid like style soccer game,it was a wonderful opportunity to witness the passion of Brazilian samba soccer and the bright future of Brazilian football.The teachers who love soccer also joined in, running alongside the kids and sharing in the joy of the moment.힘들게 뛰어 놓았던 보람이 있었을까요?준비해주신  오후 간식 역시 아이들이 너무 좋아했습니다.Was all that running worth it? Absolutely!The afternoon snacks prepared for the kids were a huge hit—they loved every bite! 이제 아이들이 이 순간을 기억했으면 좋겠어서 선물들과 함께 폴라로이드 사진을 주기로 하였습니다To help the children remember this special moment, we decided to give them Polaroid photos along with some giftsa little keepsake to cherish the memories made today 아이들에게 작별을 고하는것은 어쩌면 아이들보다 선생님들이 더 아쉬운 마음이 클지도 모르겠습니다.아쉬운 마음에 모두 한걸음에 달려 나와 아이들의 가는 길을 배웅해주고.한번이라도 안아주고, 사진이라도 더 찍어주고 하며 아이들을 집으로 돌려 보내어 주었습니다.It seems the teachers felt the parting more deeply than the children did.With heavy hearts, everyone rushed outside to see the kids off,giving hugs, snapping a few last photos, and making sure each child left feeling loved as they headed home.그렇게 떠나 보내기 어려웠던 아아들을 보내며... 아마존의서의 첫 VBS와 의료 사역은 하나님의 은혜안에 잘 마무리 할수 있었습니다.Though it was hard to say goodbye to the children,our first VBS and medical mission in the Amazon came to a successful close, all under God’s grace and blessing. 각 팀이 모여 기도로, 나눔으로 오늘 하루의 사역을 뒤돌아 보는 시간도 가졌습니다.Each team gathered together for a time of prayer and sharing, reflecting on the day’s ministry and the ways God had moved among them. 이렇게 오늘 하루가 마무리 되나 했지만!Just when we thought the day was winding down아직 하나님께 감사한 오후 팀 예배가 남아 있었기에... 아직 하루를 마무리 하기에는 쪼금! 아쉬웠습니다!There was still the afternoon team worship to give thanks to God, so it felt a little too soon to call the day completely over!분주하게 냅다 달려 72시간의 시간에 찾아온 시간, 이 시간 역시도 물론 하나님이 허락하신 시간이라는 것을 팀 예배를 통해 할수 있었습니다.After rushing busily through 72 hours of ministry, the moment to gather finally arrived—and through the team worship, we were reminded that this time too was a precious gift, graciously given by God.간단하게 재정비를 한 이후 하나님께서 오늘 하루 사역동안 나에게 주신 은혜를 나누는 자리를 가졌습니다.한사람 한사람의 간증이 너무나도 소중하고 늘 기도로 동역하고 싶은 마음이 저절로 들었습니다.After a brief time of regrouping, we shared about the grace God had given each of us throughout the day’s ministry.Every single testimony was so precious, inspiring a heartfelt desire to continue partnering in prayer and service together.그리고는 신나게 찬양하며 서로를 위하여 기도해주는 시간을 가졌습니다.오늘 암송구절은 마침 요한복음 13장 34절"새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라, 내가 너희를 사랑한것 같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라"나의 형제 자매를 향한 참된 사랑을 실천할수 있는 좋은 기회의 자리였습니다. Then, we joyfully praised God together and spent time praying for one another.Today’s memory verse was John 13:34: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."It was a wonderful opportunity to put into practice true love for our brothers and sisters.  이렇게 아마존에서의 첫 VBS와 의료사역이 하나님의 은혜 아래 잘 마무리 되었습니다.내일 어떤 아이들이, 어떤 환자 분들이 올지 전혀 알지 못하는 상태 입니다.그래도 저희 팀원들은 두렵지 않습니다. 지금 까지 하신것도 하나님이시고, 앞으로 하실것도 하나님이시기 때문입니다.God Does! 끝까지 저희 브라질 아마존 팀을 위하여 기도해 주세요!!!승주찬!Our first VBS and medical mission here in the Amazon has come to a close under God’s abundant grace.We have no idea which children or patients will come tomorrow, but our team is not afraid— because it was God who has brought us this far, and it is God who will continue to lead us forward.God does! 안녕하세요 오늘은 드디어 기도하며 기다려온 아마존 선교를 위하여 아마존 땅으로 들어가는 첫날입니다!아마존 강 위에서 찍은 단체사진으로 아마존 첫날의 소식 시작하겠습니다!Hello! Today is finally the first day we enter the land of the Amazon for the Amazon mission we have been praying and waiting for!We'll start the first day's update with a group photo taken on the Amazon River!마나우스에 도착하고 각자의 짐도 몸과 마음의 정리도 사치인듯 그렇게 잠에 든지 3시간쯤 지났을까요…요란한 알람소리와 함께 마나우스 도착 후 첫 사역의 서막이 올랐습니다.After arriving in Manaus, it felt like even organizing our belongings—or our hearts and minds—was a luxury. About three hours had passed since we fell asleep… Then, with a loud alarm, the curtain rose on the beginning of our very first mission work in Manaus그렇게 짧은 휴식의 시간이었음에도,  예배와 이 땅과, 이 땅에 있는 영혼들을 향한 마음은 아마존 불볕 더위를 이길만큼 아침부터 뜨거웠습니다.With such a short time of rest,team's hearts for worship, for this land, and for every soul; it were burning hotter than the scorching Amazon heat from the very start of the morning.마나우스 교회 현지 사역자 분들께서 마련해주신 즐거운 식탁의 교재로 체력을 회복한 후아마존 땅으로 들어가기 위한 리 패키징을 시작하였습니다.After restoring our energy with a joyful meal prepared by the local ministry people at the Manaus church,we began repacking in preparation to enter deeper into the Amazon region.아마존 강변마을에서 사용하게될 의료사역 물품들, 또 아이들과 함께 시간을 보내며 예수님의 사랑을 전하게 될 VBS 용품들을 하나라도 빠질세라 모든 팀원들이 달라붙어 나누기 시작하였습니다.All the team members jumped in to help, carefully sorting and dividing up the medical supplies that will be used in the riverside villages along the Amazon, as well as the VBS materials we’ll use to share the love of Jesus with the children—making sure not a single item was left behind.그렇게 얼마나 페킹을 하고 있었을까요...?뜻밖의 선물이 있었습니다.How long had we been packing like that…?Then came an unexpected gift.하은진 자매님이 브라질 팀원들을 위하여 순수! 제작 하신! 뷰티풀 브라질 팀 티셔츠!보세요~! 노란게 참 예쁘지 않습니까?? 팀원들 모두 너무 귀염 뽀짝한 팀 티셔츠를 보며 헌신해주신 자매님께 감사를또 같은 팀복을 입으며 브라질을 향한 마음을 다시 한마음으로 잡을수 있는 귀중한 시간이였습니다.  Sister Eun-Jin  personally and lovingly created beautiful team t-shirts for the Brazil team!Look at them—they're such a cheerful yellow, aren’t they? 말라위에서의 마지막 날이 밝았습니다. 변함없이 예배로 하루를 시작합니다.The final day in Malawi has dawned. As always, we begin the day with worship.아쉬운 마음을 뒤로하고 함께 사역한 목사님 가정들과 워싱턴 목사님과 작별인사를 나눴습니다.Leaving a piece of us behind, we said our goodbyes to the pastors' families and to Pastor Washington who served alongside us. 갈 때는 두 팀이 다른 항공편으로 귀국합니다.The team returns home on two different flights.그동안 저희보다도 낮은 자세로 섬겨주셨던 허 선교사님, 오 목사님, 마이크 목사님은 공항까지 오셔서 모든 짐을 실어주시고 마지막까지 저희를 배웅해주셨습니다.Missionary Huh, Pastor Oh, and Pastor Mike, who had served us with even greater humility, came all the way to the airport, helped load all our luggage, and saw us off until the very end. 이틀에 걸쳐 돌아오는 시간에도 서로를 격려하고 틈틈이 하나님 말씀을 나누며 돌아왔습니다.Even during the two-day journey back, we encouraged each other and shared God's word whenever we had a moment.긴 비행시간과 공항에서의 경유에도 저희가 말라위에서 느낀 한 영혼을 향한 하나님 아버지의 마음을 잘 기억해서 성도님들과 함께 나누길 기도합니다.Despite the long flight and layovers, we pray that we will remember Father God's heart for that one soul that we felt in Malawi, and share it with the brothers and sisters back home.모든 일정 가운데 동행하시고 안전하게 이끌어주신 하나님께 감사드립니다. 이번 말라위 선교 또한 정말 하나님께서 홀로 하셨습니다! 함께 기도로 선교해주신 모든 새누리 가족들에게 깊은 감사를 전합니다. 승주찬!We give thanks to God who accompanied us throughout every schedule and led us safely home. 사역의 마지막 날인 오늘은 허 선교사님께서 점심 제공 사역을 하시는 초등학교 세 곳 중 한 곳을 방문합니다. 먼 길을 가야 하기에 이른 아침에 팀원들의 섬김으로 아침과 점심을 싸 갑니다.On the final day of our mission, we're visiting one of three elementary schools where Missionary Huh's ministry provides lunch. Since it's a long journey, some team members kindly packed breakfast and lunch early in the morning.두 시간 정도 이동하는 동안 버스에서 말씀과 찬양하며 예배드렸습니다.During the two-hour drive, we worshipped on the bus with scripture and praises.민수기 32장 16-27절 말씀을 통해 레이몬드 목사님께서 하나님과 흥정해서 하는 순종은 그에 대한 결과가 따른다는 말씀을 해주셨습니다.Through Numbers 32:16-27, Pastor Ray shared that obedience that meets God halfway will have consequences.지난 단기 선교 때 방문했던 초등학교를 지나 30분 정도를 더 들어갔습니다. 이곳은 길이 험해서 우기에는 차가 들어올 수 없어 그동안 사역할 수 없었던 곳입니다.We drove about 30 more minutes past the elementary school we visited during the last short-term mission. The road to it is rough, making it inaccessible by car during the rainy season, which is why we hadn't been able to serve there before.사역할 물품을 실은 트럭이 언덕을 못 올라가서 허 선교사님께서 왕년의 운전 실력을 발휘하셨습니다.The truck carrying our supplies couldn't get up the hill, so Missionary Huh put his old driving skills to save the day.도착하자마자 아이들이 열렬히 반겨주었습니다.As soon as we arrived, the children welcomed us enthusiastically.이 깊은 산골에 있는 학교에도 대략 1,000명의 아이들이 있다고 합니다.There are about 1,000 children even in this remote school deep in the mountains.멋진 바오밥나무 아래 공터에서 아이들을 초대해서 작은 VBS를 열었습니다.We invited the children to a mini VBS in an open space under a magnificent baobab tree.잠시 비가 쏟아졌지만 개의치 않고 찬양팀은 신나게 찬양과 율동을 드렸습니다.For a moment, rain poured down, but the praise team didn't mind and joyfully praised and danced.이 초등학생들은 시내도 못 나가볼 정도로 고립된 곳에서 살고 있습니다. 선교센터의 아이들과 다르게 대부분의 아이들이 처음 해보는 율동에 어쩔 줄 몰라 합니다.These elementary students live in such an isolated area that they've never been to a city. Unlike the children at the mission center, most of them were unsure how to follow the dances, as it was their first time.더 큰 문화의 차이가 느껴지지만 하나님께서 사용해주시길 기도하면서 예수님 스킷으로 우리의 상처와 죄를 감당하시는 예수님을 전했습니다.Although we felt a greater cultural difference, we prayed for God to use us and shared about Jesus, who bore our wounds and sins, through a Jesus skit.레이 목사님께서 우리를 회복시키시는 예수님을 전하셨습니다. 예수님을 영접하고 싶은 아이들을 부르셨을 때 많은 아이들이 손을 들고 마이크 목사님과 함께 영접 기도를 했습니다.Pastor Ray preached that Jesus restores us. When he called for children who wanted to accept Jesus, many raised their hands and prayed the prayer of acceptance with Pastor Mike.교장 선생님께 아이들을 위한 축구공을 선물로 드리고, 선생님을 위한 선물도 전달해 드렸습니다.We presented soccer balls to the principal as a gift for the children, and also delivered gifts for the teachers.건기를 지나는 힘든 시기에 와준 것과 아이들의 점심을 지원해주는 선교사님의 사역이 정말 감사하다고 교장 선생님께서 진심을 전해주셨습니다. 우리 선교팀이 멀리서 올 수 있도록 가능케 하신 것은 하나님이시라며 영광을 하나님께 올려드리셨습니다.The principal sincerely expressed his gratitude for our visit during the difficult dry season and for Missionary Huh's ministry supporting the children's lunches. As they hugged the children, the team members told them in Chichewa, "Jesus loves you."저희 버스를 따라오면서까지 많은 아이들이 배웅해주었습니다.Many children followed our bus, seeing us off.사역 마지막 날 저녁에는 팀원들의 섬김으로 KFC에서 저녁을 먹었습니다. 미국에 있는 KFC와는 맛이 조금 다르지만 간만에 먹은 튀긴 요리를 맛있게 먹으며 말라위에서의 은혜를 되돌아보았습니다.On our last day, we had dinner at KFC, thanks to some members. It taste slightly different from KFC in the States, but we enjoyed the fried food we had for the first time in a while, reflecting on the grace we experienced in Malawi.자매님들이 저녁 먹다 만난 '프라미스'라는 형제에게 복음을 전하고 함께 영접 기도를 했습니다.While having dinner, the sisters met a brother named Promise, shared the Gospel with him, and prayed the prayer of acceptance together.작년부터 이어진 전통대로 KFC 앞에서 찬양하고 말라위 땅을 축복하며 기도했습니다. 저희가 이번 선교를 통해 만난 모든 영혼들이 하나님과 깊은 교제로 나아가 예수님의 신실한 제자가 되어 이 나라를 변화시키기를 기도합니다.Following the tradition from last year, we worshipped in front of KFC, blessing the land of Malawi and praying. We pray that all the souls we met through this mission will grow in deep fellowship with God, become faithful disciples of Jesus, and transform this nation.오늘 영접하신 Promise 형제를 함께 축복했습니다. 마이크 목사님과 워싱턴 목사님도 이 형제를 축복하며 교회로 초청하셨습니다.We blessed Brother Promise, who accepted Jesus today. Pastor Mike and Pastor Washington also blessed him and invited him to the church.돌아온 선교센터에서는 저희 선교팀을 신실하게 섬겨주시고 함께 사역해주신 오천식 목사님과 사모님께서 두 분의 사역과 부르심에 대해 나눠주셨습니다. 짧은 말라위에서의 사역이 힘들어도 버틸 수 있는 것은 미국에 돌아갈 집이 있는 것처럼, 이 땅의 삶이 어려워도 돌아갈 본향, 하나님 나라가 있기에 요동치 않을 수 있다는 귀한 말씀을 전해주셨습니다.Back at the mission center, Pastor Oh and his wife, who faithfully supported our team and served with us, shared about their ministry and calling. They delivered a precious message: just as we can endure the hardships of our short mission in Malawi because we have a home to return to in the U.S., so too can we remain unshaken by the difficulties of life on this earth because we have a heavenly home, the Kingdom of God, to which we will return.저희가 도착하기도 전부터 단기 선교팀 명단을 보시며 한 명 한 명 매일 기도해주신 허창식 선교사님께서 마지막으로 선교팀에게 말씀을 전해주셨습니다. 예배가 없기에 우리가 선교를 하는 것임을. 저희 팀이 그 모든 사역 중에서도 예배를 놓지 않는 모습이 올바른 선교의 방식이라고 말씀해주셨습니다.Before we even arrived, Missionary Huh has been praying daily for each member of the mission team. He shared a farewell message to the team. He emphasized that we do missions because there is no worship. He praised our team for not neglecting worship amidst all the ministry, calling it the right way to do missions.선교사님들을 축복하고 이분들의 사역, 가정, 그리고 건강을 위해 함께 뜨겁게 기도했습니다.We blessed the missionaries and fervently prayed together for their ministry, families, and health.이동 시간이 길어서 그런지 말라위 단기 선교는 정말 순식간에 지나갔습니다. 짧은 기간에 많은 사역을 하는 동안 저희를 한마음으로 묶어주시고 분주함보다 하나님의 임재를 경험하게 해주신 주님께 모든 영광을 드립니다. 선교팀의 사역을 위해 기도해주신 새누리 교회의 모든 성도님들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.Perhaps because of the long travel times, the Malawi short-term mission passed by in an instant. We give all glory to the Lord who united us in one heart and allowed us to experience God's presence rather than busyness during the short but packed ministry. 오늘은 말라위에서 맞는 주일입니다. Airwing Mission Church 성도님들과 예배드리기 전에 저희 팀원들이 모여 새누리의 이번 주일 첫 예배라 생각하며 예배드렸습니다.This is a Sunday spent in Malawi. Before worshipping with the Airwing Mission Church congregation, our team gathered and worshipped as if it were NCBC's first Sunday service this week.민수기 32:1-15 말씀을 통해 가나안 땅에 들어가기 직전에 땅을 구했던 요단 강 동쪽의 지파들의 모습을 묵상했습니다. 우리 생각에 더 좋아 보인다고 하나님께서 약속하신 복을 우리 뜻으로 타협하지 않기로 다짐합니다.Through Numbers 32:1-15, we meditated on the tribes east of the Jordan River who asked for land just before entering Canaan. We resolved not to compromise the blessings God promised according to our own desires, even if they seemed better in our minds.팀원들의 섬김으로 또 아침을 먹고,With the team members' service, we ate breakfast again,팀원들의 봉사로 선교 셔츠가 깨끗하게 빨려있습니다.Thanks to some team members' service, the mission shirts were cleanly washed.말라위 형제자매님들과의 예배 전에 특송 리허설을 합니다.We rehearsed our special song before the worship service with our Malawian brothers and sisters.오늘 Airwing Mission Church의 일일 환영팀으로 섬기는 팀원들입니다.Our team members serving as today's welcoming team for Airwing Mission Church.알빈 형제님의 대표 기도로 예배를 시작하고 찬양팀의 찬양이 이어집니다. 말라위의 예배는 3시간 정도인데 대부분이 찬양 시간이고 거의 모든 찬양에는 춤이 함께합니다.The service began with Brother Alvin's prayer, followed by the praise team's worship. Worship services in Malawi are about 3 hours long, with most of it dedicated to praise, and almost all praise songs include dancing.뒤에 보이는 반주자 형제님은 작년 새누리 단기 선교팀이 가정 방문했을 때 예수님을 영접하고 이 교회에서 신앙생활을 하신 분입니다. 전도의 열매를 보게 하신 하나님께 모든 영광을 드립니다!The keyboard player in the back is a brother who accepted Jesus when the NCBC short-term mission team visited his home last year and has been living out his faith at this church. All glory to God for allowing us to see the fruit of evangelism!오늘 교회에 처음 방문하신 분들이 소개를 받고 일어나셨습니다. 하나님께서는 지난 이틀간의 Outreach 사역을 통해 교회의 절반 정도를 새로 오신 분들로 채워주셨습니다!Those who visited the church for the first time today were introduced and stood up. Through the past two days of Outreach ministry, God filled about half of the church with new visitors!저희와 같이 영접 기도를 했던 반가운 얼굴들이 보여서 정말 감사했습니다.We were truly grateful to see familiar faces who had prayed with us to accept Jesus.그중에 오늘 등록하신 분은 앞에서 자기소개를 합니다. 그 후에는 환영의 노래를 부르며 성도님들이 나아와서 환영의 포옹을 나눕니다. 정말 인상적인 새가족팀 시스템이었습니다.Among them, those who registered today introduced themselves at the front. Afterwards, the congregation came forward, sang a welcome song, and hugged. It was a truly interesting new family team system.그 후에 본격적인 찬양이 시작되고 원하는 분들은 앞으로 나와 함께 주님 앞에서 춤을 추며 찬양드립니다. 온 교회가 박수치며 춤을 추고 하나님을 찬양하는 시간을 통해 하나님의 임재로 들어가는 예배를 경험했습니다.Afterwards, praise session began, and those who wished came forward to dance and praised the Lord together. The entire church clapped and danced, experiencing worship that entered God's presence through worship.이어지는 영어 찬양의 가사가 저희 귀에 들렸습니다: "Things are getting better. With the Lord, things are getting better." 가뭄을 지나고 있는 말라위의 힘겨운 상황을 알기에 이 찬양의 가사가 더 깊이 가슴속에 울렸습니다.The lyrics of the following English praise song reached our ears: "Things are getting better. Knowing Malawi's difficult situation enduring a drought, these lyrics resonated even more deeply in our hearts.언약궤를 메고 오는 다윗처럼 땀을 흘려가며 온 힘을 다해 하나님을 기뻐하는 예배는 사진으로는 그 은혜를 다 담을 수가 없어서 너무 아쉽습니다...It's truly regrettable that photos don't fully capture the grace of worshipping God with all our might, sweating and rejoicing like David carrying the Ark of the Covenant...https://youtube.com/shorts/NOVDjoDf5K4찬양 후에는 하나님의 은혜를 나누고 싶으신 분들이 나오셔서 간증하십니다. 밥을 못 넘기던 남편을 치유해주신 은혜, 위독하신 어머니를 병원에 모시고 갈 수 있었음에 드리는 감사를 온 교회와 함께 나눕니다. 간증 후에는 치체와어로 함께 "God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good"을 외칩니다.After praise, those who wished to share God's grace came forward to give testimonies. They shared with the entire church their gratitude for the grace of healing a husband who couldn't eat, and for being able to take a critically ill mother to the hospital. After the testimonies, everyone collectively shouted in Chichewa, "God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good."간증 후 순서는 다시 찬양입니다. 이번에는 어머니들로 이뤄진 찬양단 "Mamas"와 유스 아이들이 찬양을 드립니다. 물론 모든 찬양 순서는 춤과 함께하고 온 교회가 자유로이 함께 부릅니다.After the testimonies, the order was again praise. This time, the praise team "Mamas," composed of mothers, and the youth choir offered praise. Of course, all praise sessions included dancing, and the entire church freely sang along.유스 아이들의 찬양과 함께 한 명씩 춤추며 나와 헌금을 드립니다. 하나님께서 주신 것을 다시 드릴 수 있는 기쁨을 몸으로 표현하는 것이 참 인상 깊었습니다. 헌금은 주님께서 주신 것을 기뻐하는 시간이라는 것을 생각해봅니다.While the youth choir sang, everyone came forward dancing to offer their offerings. It was truly impressive to see them express through their bodies the joy of being able to give back what God has given them. We reflect that offering is a time to rejoice in what the Lord has given.헌금 후에는 다시 찬양을 합니다. 이제 패턴이 보이시나요? 거의 전 교회가 성가대입니다. 부부 찬양팀, 유스 아이들, 솔로 특송, 어머니 찬양팀 등 정말 다양한 분들이 찬양을 하고 온 교회가 기쁨으로 참여합니다.After the offering, we sing praises again. Do you see the pattern now? Almost the entire church is a choir. With a married couple praise teams, youth choir, solo special songs, mother praise teams, etc., truly diverse individuals lead worship, and the entire church participates with joy.미국에서 선교 온 저희 팀원들을 소개하고 특송을 드렸습니다. 말라위 성도님들이 저희를 진심으로 환영해주셔서 감사했습니다.We introduced our mission team from the USA and presented a special song. We were grateful that the Malawian brothers and sisters genuinely welcomed us.Set me free 스킷을 통해 우리를 마귀의 억압에서 해방시키시는 예수님을 전했습니다. 예수님께서 마귀들을 물리치는 장면을 보시며 참 뜨겁게 기뻐해주셨습니다.Through the Set me free skit, we shared about Jesus who liberates us from the devil's oppression. They rejoiced fervently while watching Jesus defeat the demons. 레이몬드 목사님께서 죽어가는 관원의 아들을 고치신 기적을 주제로 말씀을 나누셨습니다. 관원에게 주신 것은 "가라 너의 아들이 나으리라"는 말씀. 그 말씀을 믿고 집에 갔더니 그 시각에 아들이 나았습니다. 우리는 예수님을 직접 보지 못해도 말씀으로 인해 예수님을 진정으로 믿고 있는지 돌아보길 도전하셨습니다.Pastor Raymond shared a message on the miracle of healing the dying official's son. What was given to the official was the just word, "Go, your son will get well." He believed that word and went home, and at that very hour, his son recovered. Pastor Raymond challenged us to reflect on whether we truly believe in Jesus through His Word, even if we cannot see Him directly.허 선교사님의 축도로 예배를 마쳤습니다. 진심으로 하나님을 기뻐하고 온몸으로 주님을 찬양하는 모습에 예배 시간이 전혀 길게 느껴지지 않았습니다.The worship service concluded with Missionary Huh's benediction. The time of worship did not feel long at all, seeing everyone genuinely rejoice in God and praise the Lord with their whole bodies.예배 후에는 전도로 오늘 처음 오신 분들과 마을에서 초청드린 소외된 분들을 점심 식사로 섬겼습니다. 낮은 곳에서 섬기셨던 예수님의 모습을 전하기 위해 복장도 차려입고 선교센터 뜰을 최대한 근사하게 꾸미고 정성 들여 섬겼습니다.After the service, we served lunch to those who came for the first time through evangelism and the marginalized people invited from the village. To show Jesus' example of serving in humble places, we dressed up, decorated the mission center courtyard as beautifully as possible, and served diligently.이분들을 위해 Mike 목사님께서 복음을 전하시고 영접 기도를 인도하셨습니다. For these folks, Pastor Mike shared the gospel and led a prayer of acceptance. Outreach 때 만나 복음을 전하고 교회로 초청했던 분들이 정말 찾아주셔서 감사의 인사를 나눴습니다.We thanked those we had met during Outreach for actually visiting the church after sharing the gospel with them.기존 Airwing Mission Church 성도님들은 새로 오신 분들이 먼저 섬김을 받을 수 있도록 예배당 근처에 앉아 2시간 정도 기다려주십니다. 아이들도 다른 어른들이 먼저 먹길 불평 없이 기다립니다. 이분들의 인내심과 서로를 용납하는 모습에서 정말 많이 배웁니다. 특히 모든 방문자들, 기존 성도님들, 아이들까지 먹을 수 있도록 섬기시던 Mike 목사님이 걱정되어 배고프지 않으시냐고 물었더니, "Yes, but I am their shepherd"라고 하시며 다시 섬기러 가신 모습이 기억에 남습니다.The existing Airwing Mission Church congregants waited for about two hours near the sanctuary, allowing the new visitors to be served first. Even the children waited patiently for other adults to eat first without complaining. We learned a great deal from their patience and tolerance for one another. Especially memorable was Pastor Mike, who was serving all the visitors, existing congregants, and even the children; when I asked him if he was hungry, he replied, "Yes, but I am their shepherd," and went back to serving. 점심 봉사 후 떡국으로 늦은 점심을 먹었습니다. 봉사에 쓰느냐고 테이블 없이 바닥에서 먹었지만 먹어본 떡국 중에 제일 맛있었습니다.After serving lunch, we had a late lunch with Tteokguk. We ate it on the floor since the tables were outside for serving, but it was the most delicious Tteokguk I've ever had.그 후 정비 시간에도 방과 후 프로그램에서 만난 아이를 추가로 가르쳐주시는 자매님.Even during a break time, a sister continued to teach a child she met from the after-school program.정신없이 지나간 몇 일간의 사역을 되돌아보며 주신 은혜를 나누고 마음에 기억하는 시간을 주셨습니다.We were given time to reflect on the past few hectic days of ministry, share the graces received, and remember them in our hearts.새누리교회가 예배드리는 시간에는 저희도 본교회의 예배를 위해, 말씀 전하시는 손경일 담임목사님과 부목사님/전도사님들을 위해 기도했습니다.During Saenuri Church's worship service, we also prayed for our home church's worship, for Senior Pastor Son, and for all our pastors who would preach.그 후 암송 말씀을 하는 팀원들. 다시 정전돼서 태양광 전구를 켰지만 이제 아무도 정전된 것으로 얘기하지 않는 것을 보니 다들 말라위에 적응을 마친 듯합니다.After that, team members recited memory verses. The power went out again, so we turned on the solar lights, but no one mentioned the power outage, which suggests everyone has adapted to Malawi.이번 암송 말씀은 다른 마음가짐으로 대하기로 합니다. 암송 말씀을 하고 기뻐하고 소리치는 말라위 아이들과 현지 목사님께 배운 대로 팀별 암송 말씀 후에 온 힘을 다해 뛰며 기뻐합니다. 하나님의 말씀을 우리 마음에 심는 것은 스트레스가 아니라 기쁨이 돼야 하기 때문입니다.We decided to approach this memory verse session with a different mindset. Following what we learned from the Malawian children and local pastors who rejoice and shout while reciting verses, after each team's recitation, we jumped and rejoiced with all our might. Can you feel the joy that the Word brings?저녁 식사 시간에는 정전되었지만 밖에서 현지 목사님들과 바비큐하며 주일의 기쁨을 나눴습니다.During dinner, there was a power outage, but we had a barbecue outside with the local pastors and shared the joy of Sunday.늦은 저녁 팀 모임입니다. 자리 배치와 기타를 잡으신 레이 목사님을 보면 알 수 있듯이 Jesus in Me Loves You를 부르고 기도하며 서로를 축복해주었습니다. 역시나 처음에는 어색하지만 같이 고생한 팀원들을 보고 기도하다 보면 눈물바다가 됩니다. 저도 벌써 여성 호르몬이 많아지는 건지...It was a late-night team meeting. As you can tell by the seating arrangement and Pastor Ray holding the guitar, we sang "Jesus in Me Loves You" and blessed each other through prayer. As expected, it felt awkward at first, but looking at the team members who've shared hardships and praying together, it quickly turned into a tearful moment. I wonder if my female hormones are already increasing...담임 목사님께서 안 계셔서 안심하고 있다가 Jesus in Me Loves You를 하게 된 팀원들이 레이 목사님께 배로 돌려드립니다. 지금은 웃고 계시지만 기도 후에는 그렇지 않았습니다.The team members who were relieved that the Pastor Son wasn't there and ended up singing "Jesus in Me Loves You" gave Pastor Ray a taste of his own medicine. He's laughing now, but he wasn't after the prayers. 말라위에서 경험하는 하나님의 임재, 특히 여기서 드리는 예배의 은혜는 엄청납니다. 나의 스케줄에 맞추는 것이 아니라 성령님께서 정하시는 예배 시간. 예배 드리는 사람들의 편의가 아니라 예배 받으시는 하나님이 초점되시는 예배를 통해 부어주시는 은혜가 정말 큽니다. 하나님 안에서 누리는 자유함과 기쁨을 온전히 전하지 못해 아쉽습니다. 예수님을 먼저 만난 빌립이 나다니엘에게 말한 "와서 보라"는 말처럼 모두들 오셔서 직접 맛보셨으면 합니다.The presence of God experienced in Malawi, especially the grace of worship here, is immense. The worship doesn't fit into my schedule, but is determined by the Holy Spirit. The grace poured out through worship, which focuses on God receiving the worship rather than the convenience of the worshippers, is truly great. I regret not being able to fully convey the freedom and joy experienced in God. Like Philip, who first met Jesus, told Nathanael, "Come and see," I hope everyone can come and experience it for themselves.오늘의 사역을 위해 기도해주심에 감사합니다. 내일은 초등학교로 가서 짧게 VBS를 열고 복음을 전합니다. 저희가 만날 영혼들을 위해 기도해주시길 부탁드립니다. 승주찬!Thank you for your prayers for today's ministry. 오늘은 VBS의 마지막 날입니다. 저희가 준비한 모든 것을 오늘 오는 아이들에게 쏟아부어주기로 작정합니다. 변함없이 찬양, 말씀, 그리고 기도로 하루를 깨웁니다.Today was the last day of VBS. We were determined to pour out everything we prepared for the children who come today. As always, we started the day with praise, the Word, and prayer.민수기 31:25-54 말씀을 통해 미디안에 승리한 이스라엘 백성이 전리품을 나누고 그중에 구별하여 하나님께 드리게 하심으로 훈련시킨 모습을 보았습니다. 과연 저희에게 나눠 주신 생명과 시간과 물질을 얼마나 주님을 위해 드렸는지 돌아봅니다.Through Numbers 31:25-54, we saw how the Israelites, victorious over Midian, were trained to divide the plunder and set apart a portion for God. We reflected on how much of the life, time, and resources given to us we have offered for the Lord.오늘의 식사로 섬겨준 팀원들 덕분에 든든하게 사역을 시작합니다.Thanks to the team members who served with meals for the day, we started our ministry strong.이제 근처 마을 사람들에게 랜드마크가 된 Jesus is Lord 벽에서 사진을 찍고, 이곳으로 많은 분들이 와서 참되신 하나님을 만나기 원하는 바람으로 Outreach를 나갔습니다.We took photos at the Jesus is Lord wall, which has now become a landmark for the nearby villagers. We then went out for Outreach, hoping that many people would come here and meet the one true God. 다시 네 그룹으로 나눠 예비하신 영혼들을 만나 복음을 전했습니다.Dividing into four groups again, we met the souls God had prepared and shared the gospel.예수님을 믿는다고 하지만 교회를 가지 않는 Djadja와 Honikies 부부에게 다시 복음을 전하고 Airwing Mission Church에 초청했습니다.We shared the gospel again with Djadja and Honikies, a couple who said they believe in Jesus but don't attend church, and invited them to Airwing Mission Church.공사장에서 일하다 쉬고 계셨던 형제님에게 복음을 전했을 때 형제님은 예수님을 영접하셨습니다.When we shared the gospel with a brother resting from work at a construction site, he accepted Jesus.이 가정은 지나가는 저희 팀원들에게 와달라고 초청하셔서 복음을 전했습니다.This family invited our passing team members to come over, so we shared the gospel with them.다섯 자녀의 어머니이신 Ida 자매님도 복음을 받아들이셨습니다.Sister Ida, a mother of five, also accepted the gospel.Feby 자매님도 복음을 받아들이고 건강을 위한 기도를 부탁하셨습니다.Sister Feby also accepted the gospel and asked us to pray for her health.그 마을 근처 학교 공터에서 아이들을 모아 작은 VBS를 열었습니다. 순식간에 엄청난 수의 아이들이 모여듭니다.In the village schoolyard, we gathered the children and held a small VBS. Instantly, a huge number of children flocked.이 학교에서도 Jesus 스킷을 통해 우리의 죄를 대속하시는 예수님을 전했습니다.Also at the school, we shared about Jesus, who atones for our sins, through the Jesus skit.아이들은 엄청나게 스킷에 집중합니다.The children focused intensely on the skit.레이 목사님께서 어제 교회에 오지 못했을 아이들을 위해 말씀을 전하셨고, Mike 목사님께서 영접 기도로 초청했을 때 많은 아이들이 응답하고 기도했습니다.Pastor Ray shared the Word for the children who couldn't come to church yesterday, and when Pastor Mike invited them to the prayer of acceptance, many children responded and prayed.Jesus is Lord 가 쓰인 교회로 오라고 초청하면서 아이들과 작별인사를 나눕니다.As we bid farewell to the children, we invite them to come to the church where "Jesus is Lord" is written.센터로 돌아와서는 식사 후 바로 VBS의 아이들을 맞을 준비를 합니다.Upon returning to the center, we prepared to welcome the VBS children immediately after lunch.혹여나 못 들어올까 하는 우려에 오늘은 제 시각부터 아이들이 센터 문으로 몰려들었습니다. 한참이나 기다려주고 있던 아이들을 위해 잠시 나가 찬양을 나누고 조금만 기다려 달라고 부탁했습니다.Fearing they might not get in, children started flocking to the center's entrance right at the clock. We went out for a moment to share praise with the children who had been waiting for a long time and asked them to wait just a little longer.VBS 시작하자마자 우르르 몰려드는 아이들.As soon as VBS started, the children rushed in.밖에서는 작은 아이들을 먼저 들여보내달라고 앞으로 들어 올려 보내는 아이들이 있습니다. 작년에는 너무 많은 수의 아이들이 모여 다 들어오지 못한 일이 있었기에, 많은 아이들이 간절하게 들어오려고 했습니다.Outside, there were children lifting and sending the younger ones forward, asking for them to be let in first. Because last year, so many children gathered that not all of them could get in, many children earnestly tried to enter.결국 교회 건물은 더 이상 아이들을 수용할 수 없을 정도로 가득 찼습니다. 선교사님께서 올해는 아이들을 돌려보내지 않기로 하셨습니다. 그래서 너무 어린 5-6세 정도의 아이들은 밖으로 나가 풀밭에서 VBS를 진행했습니다.Eventually, the church building was completely filled, unable to accommodate any more children. The missionary decided not to send any children away this year. So, the very young children, about 5-6 years old, went outside and had VBS on the grass.교회 안에는 약 300명이 모였고, 밖에는 80명 정도의 어린아이들이 모였습니다.Approximately 300 people gathered inside the church, and about 80 young children gathered outside. 순식간에 두 개의 VBS를 동시에 하게 된 팀원들. 찬양팀도 둘로 나눠서 한쪽은 어쿠스틱 스타일로 진행합니다.In an instant, team members found themselves running two VBS programs simultaneously. The praise team also split into two, with one group performing in an acoustic style.실내 공연에 이어 바로 실외 공연을 한 Sin chair 스킷팀. 예수님 외에 세상의 어떤 잘난 사람도 우리를 죄에서 구원할 수 없음을 나눴습니다.Following the indoor performance, the Sin Chair skit team immediately performed outdoors. They shared that no one in the world, no matter how great, can save us from sin except Jesus.밖에서 어린 아이들을 위해 설교가 먼저 진행될때 안에서는 Mike 목사님께서 혼자 300명 아이들을 통솔하시며 찬양과 암송말씀 발표를 하게 하십니다. 영어로 암송을 하는 아이들은 성공하고 목사님과 정말 해맑게 뛰며 기뻐합니다. 저희 암송말씀 분위기와는 아주 조~금 다르네요.While the sermon for the younger children was taking place outside, Pastor Mike led 300 children inside through praise and memory verses by himself. The children who recited their verses in English successfully jumps around beaming with the pastor. It was just a tad bit different from the atmosphere of our teams memory verse time.선교팀 전원이 동시에 투입되다보니 찬양사진이 거의 없습니다. 이 또한 주님의 은혜입니다. 매 순간 성령님의 이끄심에 즉각 순종해서 이곳저곳으로 분주하게 뛰어다녀야 했지만, 그 누구도 불평하지 않게 하나로 묶어주신 하나님께 모든 감사를 드립니다.There are hardly any photos of the praise sessions because our entire mission team was deployed simultaneously. This too is the Lord's grace. Every moment, we had to promptly obey the Holy Spirit's leading and rush around from place to place, but we give all thanks to God who bound us together so that no one complained.밖에서 VBS를 한 어린아이들은 간식을 나눠주고 먼저 보냈습니다.We distributed snacks to the young children who had VBS outside and sent them home first.하루 만에 신발 정리는 말라위 전통 방식으로 돌아갔습니다.In just one day, shoe organization returned to the traditional Malawian method.남은 형, 누나들은 두 그룹으로 나눠서 안에서는 크래프트를, 밖에서는 게임을 진행했습니다.The remaining older children were divided into two groups, with crafts held inside and games outside.마지막으로 아이들에게 간식과 학용품이 담긴 가방을 나눠주며 내년 VBS로 초청합니다.Finally, we distributed bags filled with snacks and school supplies to the children, inviting them to next year's VBS.모든 VBS를 마치고 최선을 다해 아이들을 환송하며 보내줍니다.After all the VBS activities were over, we bid our upmost farewell to the children as they left.아이들이 떠나고 텅 빈 선교센터 뜰이 많이 아쉬워 보입니다.After the children left, the empty mission center courtyard looked quite sad. 바로 진행된 방과 후 프로그램. 마지막 날이라는 생각에 더 힘내서 아이들을 가르쳤습니다. 3일이라는 짧은 과정이지만, 함께 해준 아이들의 수료를 축하해주고 축복하며 보냈습니다.Immediately following was the after-school program. Knowing it was the last day, we taught the children with even more energy. Though it was a short three-day course, we celebrated and blessed the children who completed it before sending them off.찬양으로 사역을 마치며 정말 분주했던 하루에도 하나님께서 우리에게 무엇을 말해주고 계신가 서로 나눴습니다. 성격에 맞지 않는 Outreach 를 하며 받은 은혜들. 미술 시간에 거울보고 자화상을 그리며 해맑게 웃는 아이들, 또 센터에 들어오기 위해 팀원들과 눈빛을 맞추려는 아이들을 볼 때 느끼는 하나님의 마음. 두 개의 VBS를 동시에 하면서도 미소로 가득한 팀원들에게 감사한 일. 부족한 글과 사진으로 다 담기지 않는 은혜들이 너무 많습니다.As we concluded our ministry with praise, we shared what God was telling us even during this incredibly busy day. The grace received through Outreach, which didn't quite suit our personalities. Feeling God's heart when seeing the bright smiles of children drawing self-portraits while looking in the mirror during art class, and when seeing children trying to make eye contact with team members hoping to enter the center. Being grateful for the team who were full of smiles even while running two VBS programs simultaneously. There are so many blessings that cannot be fully captured my insufficient writing and photos.내일은 저희가 머물고 있는 Airwing Mission Church에서 주일 예배를 드립니다. 그동안 전도한 많은 분들이 내일은 교회로 나와 함께 예배할 수 있기를 기도합니다. 예배 시간에 할 특송과 스킷을 연습하다 보니 또 밤이 깊어지네요.Tomorrow, we will attend Sunday worship at Airwing Mission Church, where we are staying. We pray that many of those we have evangelized will come to church tomorrow and worship with us. Practicing the special song and skit for the worship service, the night is getting late again. 우리의 힘으로는 도저히 할 수 없는 사역들을 마치고 나니 "하나님께서 하십니다"가 너무 선명하게 보입니다. 모든 것이 주님의 은혜입니다. VBS 사역을 위해 기도해주신 새누리 성도님들께 감사를 전합니다. 내일은 예배 후에 마을에서 소외된 자매님들을 모시고 식사를 섬기는 사역을 합니다. 예배에서 맡은 순서도 있고 그 후에 바로 진행되는 사역이 있지만, 저희 팀이 '일'이라 여기지 않고 먼저 주님의 임재 안에서 안식을 누리는 예배를 드리기를 소망합니다. 승주찬!After completing ministries that we absolutely could not do on our own, it's so clearly visible that "God does." Everything is by the Lord's grace. We send our gratitude to the NCBC members who prayed for the VBS ministry. After tomorrow's worship service, we will serve meals to the marginalized women in the village. Although we have a part in the worship service and a ministry immediately following, our team hopes to worship first, resting in the Lord's presence, rather than considering it a responsibility. Praise the Victorious Lord! 

아침을 깨우는 찬양과 말씀으로 또 하루를 시작합니다. 이른 아침에도 다른 팀원들을 위한 식사 섬김은 계속됩니다.We awakens another day with praise and the scripture. Even in the early morning, some continue to serve the others with meals.민수기 31:13-24 말씀으로 근본적인 문제인 이방 여인을 끊어내지 않고 다른 것으로 덮으려 했던 이스라엘 백성들을 돌아봤습니다. 우리도 교회 출석이나 단기 선교 같은 것들로 죄를 해결할 수 없고, 오직 주님 앞에서 회개하고 돌아섬으로만 근본적인 문제를 해결할 수 있다고 전해주셨습니다.Through Numbers 31:13-24, we reflected on the Israelites who tried to cover up the fundamental issue of not cutting off foreign women, rather than dealing with it directly. We were told that we too cannot resolve sin with things like church attendance or short-term missions, but only by repenting before the Lord and turning back to Him can we solve the fundamental problem.아침에는 새로운 마을로 Outreach를 나가서 복음을 전했습니다. 출발하기 전에 허 선교사님께서 말씀으로 저희를 준비시켜주십니다. 오늘 가는 길을 저희는 알지 못하지만, 성령님께서는 저희가 방문할 그곳에 이미 가 계시다는 것을. 저희의 유창함으로 전도하는 것이 아니라 성령님의 능력으로 하실 것임을 말씀해주셨습니다.In the morning, we went to outreach to a new village to share the Gospel. Before we left, Missionary Huh prepared us with a message: that although we don't know the way we're going today, the Holy Spirit has already gone to the place we will visit. He told us that we would not evangelize with our eloquence, but through the power of the Holy Spirit.기도로 성령님께서 저희를 통해 역사하시기를 초청합니다.We invite the Holy Spirit to work through us in prayer.네 그룹으로 나누어 저희가 가보지 못한 곳으로 복음을 전하러 나갔습니다.We divided into four groups and went out to preach the Gospel in places we had never been before.많은 분들이 저희를 반갑게 맞아주시고 복음을 경청해주셨습니다.Many people welcomed us warmly and listened attentively to the Gospel.한 가정을 방문해 대화를 나누다 보면 자연스럽게 다른 분들이 근처로 와 앉으십니다. 인구 조사에서 대부분의 국민이 그리스도인이라고 말하는 말라위에서 전도에 거부감을 표하시는 분들은 거의 없습니다. 하지만 토속 신앙이 깊이 섞인 이곳에서 저희가 강조하는 것은 예수님만이 우리의 유일한 구원자 되신다는 진리입니다. 또한 잘못된 가르침이 이미 많이 퍼진 상황이라 저희가 동역하는 Airwing Mission Church에 오시기를 간곡히 초청합니다.When we visit a household and start talking, others casually come and sit nearby. In Malawi, where most of the population identifies as Christian in census, there are very few who express resistance to evangelism. However, in this place where indigenous beliefs are deeply intertwined, what we emphasize is the truth that Jesus is our only Savior. Also, since incorrect teachings have already spread widely, we earnestly invite people to come to Airwing Mission Church, with whom we partner.카방고 자매님의 남편분은 근처 교회에 나가지만, 자매님은 신앙생활을 하지 않으신다고 하셨습니다. 오늘 복음을 듣고 영접 기도를 하시고 주일에 저희가 있는 교회로 오시겠다고 하셨습니다.Sister Cabango's husband attends a nearby church, but she said she doesn't practice her faith. Today, after hearing the Gospel, she prayed the prayer of acceptance and said she would come to the church we are staying on Sunday.플로리스 자매님과 비아트리스 자매님 가족들에게 복음을 전하고 모두 힘차게 영접 기도를 하셨습니다.We shared the Gospel with Sister Floris and Sister Beatrice's families, and they all heartily prayed the prayer of acceptance.Youth 멤버인 조나와 다니엘도 담대하게 복음을 선포했습니다. Youth members Jonah and Daniel also boldly proclaimed the Gospel.미국에서 온 형에게 복음을 듣고 Promise, Trust, Harmony, Emma, Francisco 모두 예수님을 구주로 영접했습니다. After hearing the Gospel from an American brother, Promise, Trust, Harmony, Emma, and Francisco all accepted Jesus as their Savior.물이 더 이상 나오지 않는 우물가 앞에서 한 여성분을 만나 복음을 전하고 예수님을 영접하셨습니다. 그분은 하나님을 더 알고 싶지만, 성경책도 없이 깊이 알아갈 수 없었다고 고백하셨습니다. 주일에 함께 교회에 나와 예배드리자고 초대했습니다.We met a woman at a dry well and shared the Gospel with her; she accepted Jesus. She confessed that she wanted to know God more but couldn't delve deeper without a Bible. We invited her to come to church with us on Sunday to worship.한 어머니와 정신 질환을 앓고 있는 딸을 우연히 만나 복음을 전했고, 어머니는 기꺼이 예수님을 자신의 주님으로 영접하셨습니다. 영접하신 후, 믿음으로 딸을 위해 기도드리면 하나님께서 분명 딸의 육체와 마음의 고통을 덜어주실 것이라고 나누며, 어머님과 함께 딸에게 손을 얹고 간절히 기도했습니다.We ran into a mother and her daughter, who suffers from a mental illness, and shared the Gospel. The mother willingly accepted Jesus as her Lord. After accepting, we shared with her that if she prayed for her daughter in faith, God would surely alleviate her daughter's physical and mental suffering, and we earnestly prayed for the daughter with her, laying hands on her.노방 전도를 통해 역사하신 하나님께 감사드리며 찬양을 드립니다. 오늘 복음을 받아들이신 수많은 분들이 건강한 교회에서 바른 말씀으로 양육되기를 간절히 기도합니다. 주일 예배에서 그분들을 다시 뵙기를 진심으로 기대합니다.We give thanks and praise to God who worked through street evangelism. We earnestly pray that the many people who received the Gospel today will be nurtured with the true Word in a healthy church. The sisters joyfully welcomed the children who arrived early.입소문을 듣고 많은 아이들이 오늘 처음으로 왔습니다. 새로운 아이들은 와싱톤 목사님께서 따로 이름표를 써주셨습니다.Hearing through word-of-mouth, many children came for the first time today. Pastor Washington personally wrote name tags for the new children.기도와 찬양으로 VBS의 둘째 날을 시작합니다.We begin the second day of VBS with prayer and praise.Jesus 스킷을 통해 우리의 죄를 대속하시고 우리의 아픔을 담당하신 구주 예수님을 전파합니다. 스킷 팀을 사용하신 하나님께 감사를 올려드립니다.Through the Jesus skit, we proclaim Jesus as our Savior who atoned for our sins and bore our sufferings. We thank God for using the skit team.레이몬드 목사님의 말씀을 통해 예수님께서는 죄로 인해 종이처럼 찢어진 우리를 고치시는 구주이심이 선포됩니다. 눈앞에 보이는 예로 설명할 때 아이들은 엄청나게 몰입합니다.Through Pastor Raymond's message, it is proclaimed that Jesus is the Savior who heals us, who are torn like paper because of sin. When explained with a visible example, the children become incredibly engaged.찢어진 종이를 새 종이로 바꾸는 마술(?)로 회복된 우리를 설명하실 때 한 아이는 흡사 눈앞에서 기적을 본 듯이 놀랐습니다.When he explained restoration with a magic trick(?) changing torn paper into new paper and , one child was amazed as if seeing a miracle right before her eyes.Mike 목사님께서도 앱을 통해서 복음을 전하시고 예수님을 모시며 살겠는가라고 도전을 하셨을 때 아이들이 손 드는 모습입니다.When Pastor Mike also shared the Gospel through an app and challenged the children if they would live with Jesus in their hearts, the children raised their hands.Youth의 조나는 말라위 아이들을 사랑으로 섬기는 마음으로 신발 정리라는 새로운 시스템을 도입했습니다.Jonah from the Youth group introduced a new system of organizing the shoes, out of a heart to serve the children of Malawi with love.그 결과... 어제와는 다르게 한동안 자기 신발을 못 찾는 아이들이 생겨버렸습니다. 저희는 말라위 신발 시스템을 더 이해하지 못하게 되었습니다.As a result... unlike yesterday, some children couldn't find their shoes for a while. We became even more baffled by the Malawian shoe system.아이들을 또 반으로 나눠서 게임과 크래프트를 진행합니다.We divided the children into two halves again to proceed with games and crafts.크래프트 시간에 페이스 페인팅을 받은 아이들이 기쁘게 보여줍니다.The children who received face painting during craft time happily show it off.오늘도 찬양과 기도로 VBS를 마치고 나가는 아이들을 환송할 준비를 합니다.We wrap up VBS with praise and prayer, then prepare to send them off.아이들이 다 나갈 때까지 같이 찬양하고 신나게 춤추며 배웅해주시는 Mike 목사님과 현지 사역자님들입니다. 함께 사역하다 보면 이분들이 얼마나 아이들을 사랑하고 말씀으로 키우시는지 피부로 느낄 수 있습니다. 한 영혼을 위해 온 이곳에서 한 영혼을 사랑하고 계시는 현지 사역자님들의 모습을 보며 울컥해집니다.Pastor Mike and the local pastors sing and dance enthusiastically with the children until they all leave, sending them off. As we serve together, we can truly feel how much these individuals love the children and raise them in the Word. Seeing the local ministers loving each soul in the place we thought we came for that one soul, brings tears to our eyes.다른 아이들이 밖에서 떠들며 놀고 있을 때 방과 후 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 아이들은 선생님도 없는 곳에 스스로 의자를 가져와서 기다립니다.While other children were playing outside, the children participating in the after-school program brought their own chairs and waited even without any teachers.아이들이 얼마나 이 시간을 기대했는지 알기에 어제보다 더 최선을 다해서 가르쳤습니다.Knowing how much the children looked forward to this time, we taught with even greater effort than yesterday.얼굴로도 최선을 다하신 레이 목사님.Pastor Ray, who also gave his best with his facial expressions.VBS 사역 후에 불평 없이 저녁까지 수고해준 오늘은 식사 팀.After the VBS ministry, today's meal team worked tirelessly until evening without complaint.항상 귀하게 함께 사역해주신 남 선교사님께서 한국에서 있는 선교 대회에서 섬기시기 위해 내일 먼저 가십니다. 선교사님께서 자신의 사역과 신앙 고백을 나눠주셨습니다. 우리의 생각과 예수님의 생각이 공존하지 않고 우리를 온전히 십자가에 못 박고 예수님의 생각만 따르는 single-minded 한 삶을 살기를 도전해주셨습니다.Missionary Nam, who has always served with us so faithfully, will depart tomorrow to serve at a mission conference in Korea. He shared about his ministry and his confession of faith. He challenged us to live a single-minded life where our thoughts and Jesus' thoughts do not coexist, but rather to crucify ourselves completely and follow only Jesus' thoughts.주신 도전에 응답하여 우리를 내려놓고 성령님의 인도하심만 따르기로 기도했습니다.In response to his call, we prayed to lay ourselves down and follow only the guidance of the Holy Spirit.아쉬운 마음을 다스리며 선교사님을 축복하고 위해서 눈물로 기도했습니다.Controlling our feelings of regret, we blessed Missionary Nam and prayed for him with tears.헤어짐의 감동도 암송 말씀의 긴장감을 감출 수는 없습니다.Even the emotion of parting cannot hide the tension of memory verses.내일 스킷 연습을 하고 VBS 마지막에 아이들에게 나눠줄 가방을 준비하며 오늘 밤을 마무리합니다.We finish night by practicing the skit for tomorrow and preparing the bags to give to the children at the end of VBS.Outreach와 VBS 사역에서 본 성령님의 인도하심을 통해, 예수님의 마음으로 가장 낮은 곳에서 헌신하시는 선교사님들을 통해, 아이들 한 명 한 명 사랑으로 품는 현지 목사님들의 모습을 통해 저희가 준 것보다 더 많이 받는 하루였습니다. 이 모든 은혜를 부어주신 하나님께 홀로 영광을 드립니다. 승주찬!Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit witnessed in Outreach and VBS ministry, through the missionaries who dedicate themselves in the lowest places with the heart of Jesus, and through the local pastors who embrace each child with love, it was a day where we received more than we gave. To God alone be the glory for pouring out all this grace. Praise the Victorious Lord!

말라위에서의 아침은 그날 식사당번을 맡은 형제자매들의 준비로 시작합니다. 또 현지 마켓에서 장보시고 아이들 나눠줄 간식을 준비해준 팀원들이 있습니다. 내가 큰 생각없이 먹고 교제하고 예배하기 위해서는 다른 누군가의 섬김이 있었다는것은 교회나 선교지나 다르지 않네요.Mornings in Malawi begin with preparation by the brothers and sisters assigned for that day's meal. There were also team members who went grocery shopping at the local market and prepared snacks for the children. It's no different in church or on the mission field: someone else's service made it possible for me to eat, fellowship, and worship without much thought.오늘의 패션은 말라위 국기의 녹색을 오마주한 셔츠로 통일했습니다. 팀원 한분이 직접 수내가공업으로 찍으신 셔츠에는 선교센터 벽과 동일하게 예수님이 우리의 주님이시라는 신앙고백이 있습니다. 예수께서 주님이심을 선포하고 전하기 위해 저희가 이곳에 보내졌음을 믿습니다.Today's outfit was unified with shirts that pay homage to the green of the Malawian flag. On the shirts, personally handmade by one of the team members, there's a confession of faith—"Jesus is our Lord"—the same as on the mission center wall. We believe we were sent here to proclaim and spread that Jesus is Lord.허 선교사님께서 현지 사역자이신 마이크 목사님과 가정, 또 와싱톤 목사님을 정식으로 소개해주셨습니다. Missionary Huh formally introduced the local pastors: Pastor Mike and his family, and Pastor Washington.오늘 시작하는 VBS에 앞서 말씀과 찬양으로 무장합니다. 민수기 31장 말씀을 통해 우리의 사랑을 하나님외에 다른곳을 돌릴때 하나님은 질투하신다는것을 배웠습니다. 대상이 어긋난 사람들의 사랑을 하나님께로 다시 돌려드리는것이 우리모든 사역의 목표라는 말씀을 전해주셨습니다.Before starting VBS today, we arm ourselves with the Word and praise. Through the message in Numbers 31, we learned that God is jealous when we turn our love elsewhere than to Him. We pray that God alone will sit enthroned and rule over this land and today's ministry.VBS에 올 아이들을 맞을 준비를 합니다. 내륙국가인 말라위의 아이들에게 색다른 바다의 느낌을 전해주기 위해 데코레이션을 준비했습니다.We prepare to welcome the children who will come to VBS. To give the children of landlocked Malawi a unique feeling of the sea, we prepared decorations.아이들이 몰려오기전에 찬양을 다시 맞춰보고 방과후 프로그램 준비도 합니다. Before the children flock in, we review the praise songs and prepare for the after-school programs. 율동을 배우시는 레이목사님을 뒤에서 지켜본 결과 거의 BTS에 근접한 실력이라는 결론을 내렸습니다 (믿음의 눈으로 보았을때).Watching PRay learn the choreography from behind, I concluded that his skills are almost on par with BTS (when looked through the lens of faith).스킷에 담은 구원의 메시지가 아이들에게 온전하게 전달되길 기도하는 스킷팀.The skit team prays that the message of salvation contained in the skit will be fully delivered to the children.VBS는 1시 부터 시작하지만 대부분의 아이들은 시계가 없어 제 시간에 나타나지 않습니다. 이렇게 적은 수의 아이들이 먼저와서 그들과 인사를 하다보면 마을 여기저기서 아이들이 달려옵니다.VBS starts at 1 PM, but most children don't have clocks and don't show up on time. As the small number of children who arrive early are greeted, children come running from all over the village. 교회는 점점 차다가 금새 이렇게 가득하게 됩니다. 첫날부터 많은 아이들을 저희에게 사랑하라고 보내주신 하나님께 영광을 드립니다.The church gradually fills up and soon becomes packed like this. We give glory to God for sending us so many children to love from the very first day.입구에서부터 열렬한 환영을 받는 아이들과 함께 찬양하며 시작했습니다. 신나는 찬양으로 후끈하게 달아오르는 분위기.We started with praise, warmly welcoming the children from the entrance. The atmosphere became lively with exciting praisesEverything 스킷을 통해 예수님께서 우리를 구원하심을 선포합니다.Through the "Everything" skit, we proclaim that Jesus saves us.레이몬드 목사님께서는 만질수 없는 빛까지 창조하신 하나님께서 우리 모두를 한사람 한사람 사랑하신다는 말씀을 전해주셨습니다.Pastor Raymond preached that God, who created even intangible light, loves each and every one of us.이렇게 신발들을 쌓아두고 어떻게 그렇게 잘 찾아가는지는 여전히 미스테리입니다. 놀랍게도 신발을 잃어버렸다는 아이는 한명도 없습니다.It's still a mystery how they pile up their shoes like this and still find them so well. Amazingly, not a single child has lost their shoes.아이들을 두 그룹으로 나눠서 밖에서는 게임을 진행했습니다. 마음껏 춤추며 뛰놀아도 먼지가 날리지 않는 풀밭이 있어 정말 감사합니다.We divided the children into two groups and played games outside. We're so grateful for the grassy field where we can dance and play to our hearts' content without raising dust.예배당 안에서 크래프트 시간에는 복음 목걸이을 만들며 다시 한번 예수님께서 우리의 구원자 되심을 전했습니다.During craft time inside the chapel, we made gospel necklaces and once again shared that Jesus is our Savior.모든 프로그램은 감사기도로 마무리 합니다. 고학년 아이들은 누가 시키지 않아도 자연스럽게 무릎을 꿇고 기도합니다. 몸의 표현으로도 하나님께서 주인되심을 인정하는 모습에 저희는 큰 감동을 받았습니다.All programs conclude with a prayer of thanks. Older children naturally kneel and pray without being told. We were deeply moved to see them acknowledge God's lordship even through their physical expressions.아이들은 나가면서 준비한 간식과 함께 비눗방울의 열렬한 환송을 받았습니다.As the children left, they received snacks we prepared and a fervent farewell with bubbles.자기 순서가 오기까지 예쁘게 기다리는 모습을 보면 아이들을 사랑하지 않을수가 없습니다. 마지막 아이까지 온 힘을 다해 축복해 줍니다.You can't help but love the children when you see them waiting patiently for their turn. We bless the very last child with all our might.VBS 후에는 현지 목사님께서 정해주신 아이들과 바로 방과후 프로그램을 진행했습니다. 아이들을 수학, 영어, 미술, 음악반으로 나눠서 집중적으로 가르쳤습니다. 찬양을 반주해보는 음악반, 복음을 전하는데 필요한 단어들을 배우는 영어반등 다양한 과목을 준비했지만 동일한 바램은 이들이 예수님을 더 깊이 알기 원하는 것입니다.After VBS, we immediately ran an after-school program with the children selected by the local pastors. We divided the children into math, English, art, and music classes and taught them intensively. We prepared various subjects, such as a music class where they practiced worship songs and an English class where they learned words necessary for sharing the Gospel, but our common desire is for them to know Jesus more deeply.현지 목사님들을 위한 ETI 도 진행할 기회를 주셨습니다.We were also given the opportunity to conduct ETI for the local pastors.긴하루의 사역을 마치고 우리를 사용해주신 주님을 찬양하고 각자 받은 은혜를 나눴습니다.After a long day of ministry, we praised the Lord who used us and shared the grace each of us received.쉴틈없이 바로 내일 스킷과 사역을 준비합니다. 몸은 어쩔수 없이 피곤해도 팀원들 얼굴에는 웃음이 가득하게 하시니 하나님께 감사드립니다.We immediately prepare for tomorrow's skit and ministry without rest. We thank God that even though our bodies are tired, our team members' faces are full of smiles.잠들기 전에는 암송말씀 시간이 있었지만 다들 제 코가 석자라 아무도 사진을 찍지 못했습니다. 저도 급하다 보니...Before going to sleep, we had a memory verse time, but everyone was too desparate to take photos. I was in a hurry too...내일은 VBS 둘쨰날 입니다. 소식을 듣고 더 많은 아이들이 올텐데 주님안에서 안전하게 뛰놀며 하나님의 임재를 온전히 기뻐하는 시간될수 있길 기도합니다. 또 아침에는 근처 마을로 outreach 사역을 나갑니다. 모든 팀원이 담대히 복음을 전하는 시간이 되도록 기도해주세요. 승주찬!Tomorrow is the second day of VBS. More children will come after hearing the news, and we pray that it will be a time they can safely play in the Lord and fully rejoice in God's presence. Also, in the morning, we will head for outreach ministry to a nearby village. Please pray that all team members will boldly proclaim the Gospel. Praise the Victorious Lord!

모니! 드디어 말라위 현지어로 인사드립니다.Moni! We're finally greeting you in the local Malawian language.지난밤, 저희 팀의 준비를 도와준 프랑크푸르트 공항의 텅빈 공간을 배경으로 사진을 찍고 남아공으로 향했습니다. Last night, we took a photo with the empty Frankfurt Airport as our backdrop, which had helped us prepare, and then headed to South Africa.마지막 경유지인 남아공, 요하네스버그에 안전하게 도착했습니다. 긴 비행시간이지만 성도님들의 기도 덕분에 팀원들은 힘차게 마지막 비행기로 걸어갑니다. 보딩까지 시간이 촉박한 상황 팀원들의 티켓에 문제가 생겨 다시 발급 받아야 했지만 다행히 모두 말라위로 가는 비행기에 올랐습니다. 하나님이 하십니다!We safely arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa, our final layover. Despite the long flight, thanks to the prayers of our church family, the team energetically makes way to the last flight. Time was tight before boarding, and there was a problem with some team members' tickets, requiring them to be reissued. Fortunately, everyone made it onto the flight to Malawi. God Does! 기회될때마다 저희가 왜 그리스도의 복음을 들고 말라위로 가는지 만나는 분들과 나누며 갑니다.Whenever opportunities arise, we share with those we meet why we are bringing the Gospel of Christ to Malawi.드디어 하나님의 도우심으로 말라위에 도착했습니다. 긴 기다림 끝에 사역을 시작할수 있다는것이 참 설레네요. 3일째 공항과 비행기에서만 있다보니 바깥 공기를 맡고 행복해하는 팀원들 입니다.Finally, we have arrived in Malawi with God's help ! It's truly exciting to be able to start the ministry after such a long wait. Having spent three days just in airports and on planes, the team is thrilled to breathe the air outside.반가운 얼굴 허창식 선교사님 남광우 선교사님을 드디어 만났습니다. 지난 4월 선교대회 후 뵈니 더 반갑네요! 현지에서 사역중이신 오천식 목사님과 저희가 머무는 교회에서 사역하시는 마이크 목사님도 만났습니다.We finally met Missionary Hur Chang-sik and Missionary Nam Gwang-woo whom we dearly missed. It's even more delightful to see them after the mission conference last April! We also met Pastor Oh Cheon-sik, who is currently ministering here, and Pastor Mike, who ministers at the church where we are staying. 이동중 몸이 좋지 않았던 재희 형제의 진료를 위해 한국 선교단체에서 세운 병원을 찾았습니다 (감사히도 형제님은 많이 회복해 지금은 선교센터에서 함께 하고 있습니다). 진료를 기다리며 자연스럽게 그 동네 아이들에게 복음을 전했습니다. 모여든 아이들은 큰 소리로 영접기도를 따라했습니다.We visited a hospital established by a Korean missionary organization for Brother Jaehee's examination who wasn't feeling well on the road (thankfully, he has recovered a lot and is now with us at the mission center). While waiting for the examination, we naturally shared the Gospel with the local children. The gathered children loudly followed along with the prayer of acceptance.이번에 새누리의 형제님들이 만들어주신 복음전도 앱을 통해서 치체와어로 전도하고 영접기도까지 한마디 한마디 인도할수 있었습니다. 실제로 써본 앱은 너무너무 유용했습니다!! 현지 목사님들이 오실때까지 기다리지 않아도 기회가 되면 바로바로 나눌수 있었습니다.We could share the Gospel in Chichewa and guide them through the prayer of acceptance, word by word,using an evangelism app made by a few brothers at NCBC. The app was incredibly useful in practice! We didn't have to wait for the local pastors to arrive; if an opportunity arose, we could share immediately.영접기도를 한 아이들에게 복음팔찌를 나눠주고 축복의 기도를 해주었습니다.We gave the Gospel bracelets to the children who accepted Christ and blessed them.틈새 시간을 이용해 찬양과 율동으로 속성 VBS도 열었습니다.We also held an impromptu VBS with praise and dance during a short break.선교센터로 가는길에 허선교사님께 사역근황을 들었습니다. 지난 단기선교때는 자녀들만 교회를 보내고 본인 신앙이 없는 가정을 집중적으로 방문해서 복음을 전했었습니다. 그때 예수님을 영접한 한 형제님은 교회 반주자로 섬기고 계시고 다른분은 십일조 생활을 하는 아주 건강한 신앙인으로 자랐다고 하십니다. 정말 감사한 소식입니다! 하나님께서 하신 놀라운 일을 들으니 앞으로의 사역이 더욱 기대됩니다.On the way to the mission center, we heard updates about the ministry from Missionary Huh. During the last short-term mission, we focused on visiting and sharing the Gospel with families that only send the children to church but the parents had no faith. He said that one brother who accepted Jesus then is now serving as a church accompanist, and another has grown into a very healthy believer who tithes. This is truly wonderful news! Hearing about the amazing things God has done makes us even more excited for the upcoming ministry.선교센터로 가는길 부터 많은 변화가 보입니다. 큰길부터 선교센터 까지 도로가 포장되있습니다. 차로 이동하는 시간이 훨씬 짧아졌어요!Many changes are visible starting from the road to the mission center. The road from the main street to the mission center has been paved. The travel time by car is much shorter now!지난 1년간 선교센터를 세심하게 가꾸신 선교사님의 손길이 곳곳에 보입니다. 선교센터 앞 뜰은 풀밭으로 가꾸셔서 아이들이 뛰놀아도 먼지가 날리지 않습니다. 정수기를 설치하시고 요리에 필요한 물은 생수통에서 바로 나오는 syphon까지! 벌써 내년 말라위 선교를 결심하고 싶지 않으신가요?The missionary's meticulous care for the mission center over the past year is evident everywhere. The front yard of the mission center has been tended into a lawn, so children can play without kicking up dust. He has installed a water purifier and even a siphon that dispenses water directly from water bottles for cooking! Aren't you already thinking about committing to the Malawi mission next year? 선교센터에서는 또 다른 반가운 얼굴 와싱톤 목사님을 만났습니다. 예전에는 무슬림이였지만 예수님을 만나 헌신하신후 노방전도에서 늘 신실하게 통역해주시는 사역자이십니다.At the mission center, we met another welcoming face, Pastor Washington. He was formerly Muslim but, after encountering Jesus and dedicating his life to Him, he has faithfully served as an interpreter for street evangelism.내일부터 바로 시작하는 VBS를 위해 짐 정리를 먼저 합니다. 몸이 노곤할수록 더 말씀과 기도로 무장하기 위해 찬양과 예배드리고 서로를 위해 기도했습니다. 민수기 30:1-16 묵상하며 하나님께 하는 서약, 하나님 앞에 하는 약속이 얼마나 중대한 일인지 레이몬드 목사님께서 나눠주셨습니다.We'll start by organizing our luggage for VBS, which begins tomorrow. The more tired our bodies were, the more we armed ourselves with God's Word and prayer, worshiping and praying for one another. 하나님이 하십니다! 저희 말라위팀은 첫 경유지인 독일 프랑크푸르트에 도착했습니다. 10시간의 비행시간이지만 레이목사님께서 숙제로 내주신 암송말씀을 외우고 요한복음 부터 사도행전을 읽다보니 금새 도착했습니다. 여기까지 이끌어주신 하나님께 감사의 기도를 드렸습니다.God Does! Our Malawi team has arrived in Frankfurt, Germany, our first layover. Although it was a 10-hour flight, it felt like brief as we recited the memories verses Pastor Ray gave us for homework and read from the Gospel of John through Acts. We lifted up praise to God for leading us this far.SFO에서 부터 시작된 말씀 암송과 성경 읽기는 틈틈히 계속 됩니다.From SFO, we continue to memorize and read the scripture at every chance we get.프랑크푸르트 공항에서 주어진 12시간 정도의 시간을 하나님의 말씀으로 시작합니다. 말씀과 기도는 선교의 모든 과정과 사역의 가장 기초가 됩니다. 어제 팀원들이 비행기에서 한 민수기 29:1-11 말씀묵상을 레이몬드 목사님께서 설명해주셨습니다. 하나님께서 이스라엘 백성을 가나안땅을 인도하시기 앞서 예배의 방식을 다시 상기시키시고 준비시키셨습니다. 그와 같이 우리도 말라위로 들어가기전에 예배와 헌신의 마음이 준비되었는지 되돌아 봅니다.We start the 12 hours or so given to us at Frankfurt Airport with God's Word. Scripture and prayer are the most fundamental basis for all aspects of our mission and ministry. Yesterday, Pastor Raymond explained the daily devotion on Numbers 29:1-11 that the team members did on the plane. Before leading the Israelites into the land of Canaan, God prepared them by reminding them of the methods of worship. Likewise, we reflect on whether our hearts are prepared for worship and dedication before we enter Malawi.그룹별로 나눠서 오늘 주신 말씀묵상을 나누고 각자 신앙의 여정을 돌아보며 더 깊이 교제하는 시간을 가졌습니다.We divided into groups to share today's devotion and reflected on our personal journeys in faith, having a time of deeper fellowship.민수기 29:12-40 말씀을 통해 우리가 하나님께서 원하시는 방식으로 예배하고 있는지, 우리의 가장 좋은것으로 드리고 있는지 함께 돌아봅니다.Through Numbers 29:12-40, we reflect together on whether we are worshiping in the way God desires and whether we are offering our very best.팀원들마다 왜 말라위를 가게 됬는지 나눴습니다. 이번 단기 선교로 부르심을 받은 환경은 모두 다릅니다. 각자 삶의 여정이 달라도 하나님의 말씀에만 집중하고 복음을 온전히 전하는 통로가 되길 서로를 위해 기도합니다.Each team member shared why they came to Malawi. The circumstances of our call to this short-term mission are all different. Although we all come from different places in life, we pray for each other to remain focused solely on God's Word and to be channels for wholey proclaiming the gospel.아직 말라위에 도착하지 않았지만 서로를 위한 섬김은 시작됬습니다. 형제 자매님들께서 앞다투어 팀원들을 커피와 점심으로 섬겨주셨습니다. 과연 독일의 빵 맛은? 그냥 공항 빵 맛... 하지만 서로를 먼저 섬겨주시는 사랑에 감사히 먹었습니다.We haven't arrived in Malawi yet, but our service to one another has begun. Our brothers and sisters eagerly served the team members with coffee and lunch. As for the taste of German bread? It just tasted like airport bread... But we ate it thankfully, grateful for the love shown in serving each other first.지나가는 사람들이 많이 볼수있지만 통행에 방해가 되지 않는곳을 찾아 스킷을 연습합니다.We've found a spot with many passersby but where we won't obstruct the traffic to practice our skits.완벽한 연기를 위한 열띤 토론.A passionate discussion for a perfect performance.연습순서를 기다리는 팀원들은 말씀으로 시간을 채웁니다.Team members waiting for their turn to practice fill their time with scripture.오늘 암송말씀은 각 팀마다 한국어나 영어 둘중 하나로 정해서 함께 외웠습니다. KM 과 Apage의 지체들이 서로의 언어에 맞춰가며 서로 마음도 맞춰가는 시간이였습니다.Each team chose either Korean or English for the memory verses and we recited it together. It was a time for the KM and Apage members to align their hearts as they adapted to each other's languages.암송후에는 바디워쉽을 연습하고 마지막 스킷 동선을 맞추는 연습을 했습니다.After the memory verses, we practiced body worship and then rehearsed the final movements for the skit.생각보다 빈 공항이라 이 또한 사역전에 팀원들이 넉넉히 준비할 공간을 주신 하나님의 은혜로 여기며 감사합니다.The airport was emptier than expected, and we are grateful for this as well, considering it God's grace for providing ample space for the team to prepare before ministry.저희는 오늘 밤 비행기로 남아공으로 출발해 내일 말라위로 들어가게 됩니다. 남은 경유와 짐을 찾는 모든 과정 순탄케 해주시고 팀원들이 지치지 않고 성령님께서 주시는 능력으로 힘차게 말라위에서의 사역을 시작 할수 있도록 기도해주세요. 승주찬!We depart tonight for South Africa and will enter Malawi tomorrow. Please pray that all remaining layovers and baggage claim processes go smoothly, and that the team members will not be weary but will powerfully begin their ministry in Malawi with the strength given by the Holy Spirit. 안녕하세요!오늘은 드디어 말라위 단기선교를 떠나는 날입니다! 어제 주일 예배에서 새누리 가족들의 뜨거운 기도를 받고 기쁨으로 가득차 떠납니다.Hello!Today, we finally depart for our short-term mission trip to Malawi! We're leaving filled with joy after receiving fervent prayers from our NCBC family at yesterday's Sunday service.많은 분들이 나오셔서 축복해주시고 파송해주셨습니다. 새누리 성도님들의 기도가 선교팀원들에게 엄청난 힘이 됩니다.Many people came out to bless and send us off. The prayers of the NBC members are an immense source of strength for the mission team.주님의 은혜로 SFO에 잘와서 모든 짐을 첵인 했습니다. 새누리 성도님들이 모아주신 도네이션은 말라위 형제 자매님들께 큰 도움이 될것입니다. 무엇보다도 이 물건들을 통해 말라위의 사람들에게 영과 육을 다 먹이시는 예수님을 소개하고 전하길 기도합니다.By the grace of the Lord, we arrived safely at SFO and checked in all our luggage. The donations gathered by the NCBC members will be a great help to our Malawian brothers and sisters.
