Day 3 -  2025 Mexico Mission Trip¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás! (Hello! How are you?)지글지글 우당탕탕 멕시칼리 미션의 새로운 셋째날이 마무리 되었습니다. Another sizzling and bustling day of the Mexicali mission has come to an end.오늘은 선교가 중반부로 달려가면서 수많은 은혜와 주님이 복음의 씨앗들이 심겨지니 사단의 공격도 더욱 거세진 하루였습니다. 이전 선교때 보다 더 빨리 아픈 아이들이 나오면서 얼마나 이번 선교가 임팩풀 하고 의미가 있는 선교일지 기대하는 마음이 있으면서도, 더욱 더 주님의 보호심과 인도하심을 붙잡을수 밖에 없는 하루였습니다. As we entered the midpoint of our mission, it became a day filled with both abundant grace and intensified spiritual attacks. As the seeds of the Gospel were being planted, Satan’s resistance also grew stronger. Compared to previous mission trips, we saw children falling ill earlier in the week, which made us realize how impactful and meaningful this mission truly is. At the same time, it was a day where we had no choice but to cling more tightly to the Lord’s protection and guidance.정말 평상시면 일어나지 않았어도 되는 일들, 문제가 아니였던 일들이 일어나고 몇번이나 확인했던 것들에서 실수가 생기고, 그걸 바라보는 우리의 마음에 두려움이 생기기 시작했던 것 같습니다. 특히나 아이들이 아프니, 아픈 아이들을 바라보며 해줄수 있는 것도 없은 오로지 기도로만 나가야 하는것이 맞는지 평상시면 하루이틀 정도 더 두고보고 견딜수 있던 상황들이 염려와 두려움이 더해져, 초조함을 만들어냈습니다. Things that normally wouldn’t have happened did, unexpected problems arose, and mistakes occurred in areas we had triple-checked. Fear began to creep into our hearts. Especially with children getting sick, situations that we might have waited a day or two to observe in normal times now felt urgent, and concern turned into anxiety and helplessness—prayer became our only option.그러나 함께 기도 하면서, 주님께서는 내가 하겠다는 마음을 주시고, 그 걱정의 마음 또한 바라보게 해주셨습니다.Day 3를 작성했어야하는 어제(7/1) 일 저녁에는 여러 아이들을 돌봐줘야하는 상황에서, 지금 (7/2일 오전) 에 바라보니, 그 순간조차 주님이 지키고 계시고, 멕시코 팀들을 하나로 모아 기도시키셨음이 이제야 보입니다. Yet, as we prayed together, the Lord reminded us, "I will do it." He allowed us to see our worrying hearts through His eyes. Although I intended to write the Day 3 report last night (7/1), I had to care for several children. Now, as I reflect this morning (7/2), I see that even then, the Lord was watching over us and gathering the Mexico team in unity through prayer.마운틴뷰에 계신 새누리 성도님들!! 더욱더 멕시코팀을 위해 기도해 주시길 간절히 부탁드립니다. 많은 육적인 공격들이 쏟아지고 있습니다. 최선을 다해, 주님이 주신 지혜로 그때에 맞는 치료와 돌봄 또한 기도와 함께 가고 있으니, 멕시코팀이 더욱더 주님께 의지하며 그렇게 나아갈수 있도록 기도 부탁드리겠습니다. To all the Sanuri Church members in Mountain View! We earnestly ask for your continued prayers for the Mexico team. We are facing many physical and spiritual attacks. We are doing our best, providing care and treatment with the wisdom the Lord has given us—always accompanied by prayer. Please pray that our team will continue to rely fully on the Lord and move forward in faith.어제 진행되었던 사역 함께 나눕니다. 어제의 사역들 또한 많은 주님의 복음의 씨앗들과 사랑을 나누는 시간들이였습니다. 특히나 NCBC 멕시코 선교팀 (우리 아이들) 의 성장뿐 아니라 작년에 보았던, 그 이전에 보았던 아이들이 훌쩍 커서 다시 만났을 때, 하나님의 생명을 자라게 하시는 그 섭리에 다시 감사와 찬양을 드릴수 있었습니다. Let us share what happened in yesterday’s ministry. It was another day of sowing seeds of the Gospel and spreading the love of Christ. Not only did we see the growth of the NCBC Mexico mission team (our youth), but we also reunited with children we had seen in previous years—now grown. We were moved once again to give thanks and praise to God, who nurtures life.Ministry Overview – Day 3사역으로 보면, 셋째날의 일정은 또한 어제와 같은 일정으로 3개의 교회에 3팀으로 나눠져 VBS를 진행, 세미너리 페인트사역, 노방전도 사역을 진행하였습니다. 프로그램은 같지만, 그 안에서 주시는 주님은 은혜와 도우심은 매번 새로웠습니다.  Ministry Overview – Day 3 The third day followed a similar schedule to the previous day: Teams were divided among 3 churches to lead VBS, carry out seminary painting work, and engage in street evangelism. Though the program was the same, the grace and help the Lord provided were new every time.VBS 사역 (백진영 자매님의 도움으로 생생한 각각의 스토리들을 올립니다.)VBS Ministry (Thanks to Sister Jin-Young Baek for helping share vivid stories from each team!)A팀 (team A)어제와 연장된 프로그램으로 더욱 더 깊은 교제를 나누며, 아이들뿐 아니라 어른분들께도 다시 한번 사복음을 전할수 있던 시간이였습니다. 그곳의 뜨거운 열기를 사진으로 감상해보시죠!Continuing from the previous day, we deepened our fellowship—not only with the children but also with the adults. It was a special time to once again share the fourfold Gospel. Enjoy the photos capturing the intense heat and warmth of the ministry!진영자매님 ft. “믿는 집이었지만 확신을 주기원해서 한 형제님이 복음을 다시 나누었고 Lucia는 다시 하나님을 주라 고백하며 현재 관계의 문제에 있어서 힘든것을 나누며 같이 눈물로 기도하였다. 하나님이 우리 각 사람, 특히 현지 부모님들을 많이 사랑하심을 느낄수 있었다. “ Jin-Young’s Note: "Although it was a Christian household, one brother wanted assurance and heard the Gospel again. Lucia confessed Jesus as her Lord and shared her struggles with her current relationship. We wept and prayed together. We could feel how deeply God loves each of us—especially the local parents."  B팀 B팀은 세미너리 근처 교회로 저자가 개인적으로 아는 얼굴들이 많이 보여 더 반가웠습니다. 작년에 만났던 친구들이 훌쩍커서 돌아와서 더 많이 기도하게 되는 순간이였습니다. Church B의 경우 VBS의 테마인 “Magnified”와 찰떡인 green green wall 로 주님께서 벽의 페인트까지 준비해 주신건가?! 라는 생각이 들었습니다. :) 순간들을 사진과 함께 나눕니다. Team BThis team served a church near the seminary. I personally recognized many familiar faces, which made it even more joyful. Seeing the children we met last year all grown up brought tears and prompted more prayers.At Church B, the VBS theme “Magnified” matched perfectly with the green-painted wall—it felt like even the wall had been prepared by the Lord! :) Let’s share those moments with pictures.  C팀C church 는 오후에 진행 되는 VBS로 한껏 더워진 교회안에서 그 뜨거운 열기와 함께 더 뜨거운 주님의 일하심을  경험하는 순간이였습니다. VBS at Church C took place in the afternoon, when the heat peaked. But even in the sweltering church building, we witnessed the Lord’s work burn even brighter.진영자매님 ft. 밖은 엄청 더운 날씨였는데 교회에 물먹으러 온 아저씨에게 한 형제님이 복음을 30분 넘게 스페니시로 더듬더듬 읽으며 전하였고 예수님을 영접하였다. 그는 전에 자살하려고 했었으며 그래서 이교회의 목사님이 rehab center를 찾고 있다고 하셨다. Jin-Young’s Note:“Despite the intense heat, a man came into the church for water. One of the brothers stumbled through the Gospel in Spanish for over 30 minutes, and the man accepted Jesus. We later learned that he had previously attempted suicide, and the church pastor had been looking for a rehab center for him.”진영자매님 ft. “에리카는 어제 동생을 위해서 기도했었는데 마약에 빠져있던 동생이 오늘 교회에 오게됬다. 다른 한형제님이 그녀에게 복음을 전했고 예수님을 받아들이게 됐다. 오랫동안 언니인 에리카가 기도를 해오지 않았나싶다. 나중에 애나에게 무엇이 기도제목이냐고 물었을때 그녀는 정말 마약을 끊고싶다고 했고 몇몇 어른들 멤버들은 같이 모여서 기도하기를 원했다. 언니가 다른방에서 기도하기를 원했고 우리는 세미나리 학생인 알렉시와 그외 4명의 어른들이 같이 가서 한국식 부르짖으며 하는 기도를 했다. "너는 내게 부르짖으라 내가 네게 응답하겠고 네가 알지못하는 크고 비밀한 일을 네게 보이리라" 그녀에게 마약 중독을 인정하고 그문제를 주님발앞에 가져와서 주님만이 해결해주신다는것을 믿어야 한다고 도전했다. 사탄이 유혹하고 마약을 하고싶다는 생각이 들때마다 주님께 그문제를 가져가야한다고 했다. 우리 부모님들은 애나와 애나언니 에리카를 붙들고 부르짖으며 기도했다. 현지 교회 젊은 마린 목사님도 오셔서 같이 기도하셨다. 그방은 war room같았다. 하나님의 일하심을 찬양합니다. 밖에선 유쓰들 중심으로 이루어진 VBS가 진행되었으며 뒤에선 기다리는 현지 부모님들을 통해 그들의 삶에 변화를 일으키기 원하시는 하나님의 일하심을 볼수 있었다.”Jin-Young’s Note:“Erika had prayed for her younger sister the day before—and today, her sister, who had been addicted to drugs, came to church. Another brother shared the Gospel with her, and she accepted Jesus. I imagine Erika had been praying for her for a long time. When we asked Anna (the sister) for her prayer request, she said she desperately wanted to quit drugs. Several adult members gathered to pray. Erika chose to pray in a separate room. With Alexi, a seminary student, and four other adults, we prayed Korean-style with loud cries. ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ We encouraged her to acknowledge her addiction and surrender it at Jesus' feet, believing only He could set her free. We told her to run to Jesus every time temptation or desire for drugs came. Our parents cried out in prayer for Anna and Erika, and even Pastor Marin, a young local pastor, joined us. That room felt like a war room. Meanwhile, VBS continued outside, led by the youth, and through the waiting local parents, we could sense God's work bringing life change.” C 팀의 VBS 순간들도 사진들로 함께 보시죠!Let’s also share some of the photos from Team C’s VBS moments! 페인트사역계속되는 건물 페인트 보수.. 더운 날씨에 지칠만도 할텐데도, 일을 진행하는 멕시코 선교팀의 얼굴에는 즐거움이 가득합니다. 더 일하고 싶어하는 아이들 수에 비해 공간이 모자라다는 느낌이 들 정도로 아이들의 고사리 같은 손들과 주님의 능력이 더해져서 우리의 능력 보다 더 일하시는 주님을 바라봅니다. Painting MinistryThe seminary building painting continued. Even in the scorching heat, the Mexico mission team remained full of joy. There were so many kids wanting to help that it felt like we ran out of space. Their small hands and the Lord’s power made it evident that He was working far beyond our own abilities.To be continued in Part 2

짧은 그 1시간의 만남에서 길에서 우당탕탕 우리 새누리 선교팀은 그렇게 주님의 복음의 씨앗을 뿌리고 다녔습니다.  Evening Reflection짧은 노방전도의 여운을 뒤로 하고, 다시 세미너리로 돌아와 예배로 하루를 마무리 하고, 오늘의 감동과 주님의 일하심을 함께 나누며, 소그룹 나눔으로 오늘 하루를 더 깊게 나눠보는 시간을 가져보았습니다. 정말 마무리의 시간!! 내일을 준비하는 시간을 마지막으로,, Evening Reflection After evangelism, we returned to the seminary to close the day with worship. We shared moments of inspiration and God’s working throughout the day during small group reflections. This was truly the time of wrapping up and preparing for tomorrow.10PM.. 그렇게 멕시칼리의 둘쨋날이 마무리 되었습니다. 내일도 인도하며 동행해주실 주님을 기대하며.. Hasta mañana. (내일 만나요!!!) At 10 PM, the second day in Mexicali came to an end. With hearts full of gratitude, we look forward to how the Lord will guide and walk with us again tomorrow.Hasta mañana. Day 2 -  2025 Mexico Mission Trip¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás!지글지글 멕시칼리의 둘째날을 허락해주신 주님께 감사와  찬양을 올리며,  날씨만큼 뜨거웠던 멕시코 미션팁의 뜨거웠던 하루를 함께 해보시죠! Hello! How are you! (¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás!)We begin with thanksgiving and praise to the Lord who has granted us the second day in sizzling Mexicali. Let’s take a look back at this day of mission, burning with the same heat as the weather!오전 6시반, 길었던 어제를 뒤로 하고, 큐티로 하루의 시작을열었습니다.  오늘 우리에게 주시는 마음은 무엇인지 기도와 나눔으로 선교의 시작을 준비하며, 주님께서 일 하시는 오늘을 기대하며, 감사하게도 많은 분들의 기도로 조금은 나아지신 폴목사님과 함께 예배로 주님께 나아갔습니다. 이번 멕시코 선교는 3개의 팀으로 오전 오후 나눠진 프로그램으로, 분주하게 진행되어, 주님의 도움없이는 산으로 갈수 있는 상황들이였습니다. 특히나 우당탕탕 우리 아이들과 함께 집중하지 않으면 정말 넘어지기 쉬운 상황들이 머리로 그려지고 있는 상황이였습니다. 여러 교회에서 진행되는 VBS들과, 건물외부 청소와 페인팅와 함께, 그것을 위한 준비를 위해 어른들과 아이들이 각자 맡겨진 장소에서 각자의 역활을 해 내야만 가능한 프로그램 이였습니다. 부족해 보이는 어른들의 숫자와 또 우당탕탕 열정 넘치는 아이들을 바라보며, 약간은 걱정이 앞서는 스케쥴이였습니다. This Mexico mission trip was divided into three teams with morning and afternoon programs. Everything was run on a tight schedule, and without the Lord’s help, it could have easily gone off track. Especially when working with our lively and energetic children, it was clear that without focus and guidance, things could easily get overwhelming.Each team had specific duties—from leading VBS programs at various churches, to cleaning and painting the outside of buildings, to prepping for each activity. Both adults and kids had to fulfill their responsibilities at each assigned location for things to run smoothly.Looking at the small number of adult volunteers and our energetic kids, the schedule felt a bit overwhelming at first. VBS 사역 A팀 오전 8시 아침식사를 하자마자 A팀들이 45분 떨어진 교회로 VBS짐들을 가득 실고 떠났습니다. VBS 를 위한 데코레이션, 크레프트, 게임, 찬양등 여러 분야에서, 그러나 한 마음과 한 미션으로 그곳에 모여진 영혼들을 위한 예배와 서비스를 시작했습니다. Team ARight after an 8 AM breakfast, Team A packed the VBS materials and drove 45 minutes to a church. Each person contributed in various areas like decoration, crafts, games, and worship. Despite the different roles, they served with one heart and one mission—to worship and serve the souls gathered there.백진영자매님의 업데이트"오늘 처음 아침에 간 교회에서 부모들중에서 두자매인 아나와 미첸을 만났다. 이교회는 40분 정도 떨어진 교회인데 1년 정도 된 새로운 건물이었으며 나이든 분들과 은퇴한분들이 많이 온다고 했다. VBS를 support하다가 어른들 중에서 몇명이 vbs중 아이들을 기다리는 부모들 대상으로 복음을 전하기로 했다. 하지만, 스페인어를 잘하는 사람이 없었기에 우리는 멕시코 미션전에 준비했던 4영리를 사용하여 만든 교회 app과 구글트랜스레잇 등을 사용하여 부모들과 소통할수 있었다. 그중에서 만난 아나는 불안증세가 심했고 16세의 사촌이 파티중에 비극적인일로 죽었고 그형제가 또한 실종되는 여러일을 겪으며 이 두자매는 가정의 힘든일을 나누었다. 예수님을 믿지만 비극적인일들로 힘들었기에 다시 복음을 전하면서 확신을 다시 갖도록 했고 몇몇 어른들이 같이 기도했다. 아나는 우리가 한국말로 기도했지만 영으로 하는 기도때문인지 혹은 같은 마음때문인지 그녀의 눈에 눈물이 고였다." B팀 오전 9시에 세미너리 근처에 있는 교회에서 진행하기로 했던 VBS 가 교회 리모델링 공사로 인해 장소가 변경되었다는 이야기를 듣고 당황하는 상황에서 우리의 머리로 어디서 하면서 좋을지 생각할때, 주님은 이미 세미너리에 그 장소를 예비하고 계셨습니다. 갑자기 바뀐 상태에서 그 어느 누구도 불평불만 하지 않고 바로 그 상황에 순응하여 한 마음이 되어 준비하는 팀을 바라보며, 주님께서 이끌어 주고 계심을 느낄수 있었습니다. Team BTeam B was originally supposed to hold their VBS at a church near the seminary at 9 AM. However, due to unexpected remodeling, the location had to be changed. While we were still thinking with our own logic about where to go, the Lord had already prepared a space at the seminary. It was moving to see how not a single person complained about the sudden change; instead, everyone adjusted quickly and worked together with one heart. We could truly feel the Lord leading us. C팀 오전엔 세미너리 건물외부 페인트와 오후시간엔 10분 떨어진 교회에서 VBS를 진행했어야 하는 C팀은 오전중에는 어른들이 건물페인트 작업을 준비 할동안, B팀의 VBS 세팅들을 도우며, 오후시간에는 VBS를 진행하였습니다. Team C In the morning, Team C helped with outdoor painting at the seminary and supported Team B with VBS setup. In the afternoon, they headed to a church 10 minutes away to run another VBS. Although all three churches hosted different groups of children, the unity of God was evident in each one. We witnessed God working through each team member, reminding us again of the beauty of His body. 백자매님의 업데이트 "오후 4시에 열렸던 교회의 vbs는 작년에 갔었던 교회였어서 만났던 어른들과 성장한 아이들을 볼수 있었다. 에리카는 하나님을 믿지만 그마음에 근심이 많다고 해서 요 14:27의 평안에 관한 구절과 빌 4:6-8절의 염려에 관한 구절을 외우고 같이 기도하게됬다. 또한 그녀의 여동생 마리아가 마약에 빠져있는데 그것을 놓고 같이 기도하게 됐다. 멕시코는 매번 마약에 빠진 사람들이 많음을 보게된다총 3개의 교회에서 3 그룹으로 다 다른 아이들이 모이고 섬기지만, 그 안에 있는 하나님의 하나되게 하심이 각각의 VBS 가운데 함께하시며, 각 지체를 통해 일하시는 주님을 다시한번 경험하는 시간들이였습니다!! 페인트사역113도를 넘나 드는 날씨에도 돕고자 하는 그 작은 손길들이 모여, 하나하나 일들이 진행되어짐을 바라보며, 주님이 하십니다가 외쳐지는 사역이였습니다.더운 날씨에 지칠만도 할텐데 아이들의 눈은 더 반짝거렸고, 그들의 손을 통해 이뤄나가는 모습들을 보며, 주님의 스스로 영광받으심을 우리는 씨앗을 뿌리기만 하면 됨을 다시한번 느끼는 순간이였습니다. 다소 위험한 작업들은 어른 형제, 자매님들의 도움으로 먼저 세팅하며, 각각의 장소에서 할수 있는 일들을 해 나가며 모든 일들이 주님의 순리안에서 안전히 진행되었습니다.  Painting Ministry Despite temperatures over 113°F (45°C), small but willing hands came together to get the job done. Watching each task move forward, we couldn’t help but shout, "It is the Lord who is doing this work!" Even in the heat, the kids’ eyes sparkled with energy. Seeing their hands at work showed us that we are just sowers of seeds—God Himself brings the glory. The more dangerous tasks were handled first by adult brothers and sisters, and everyone worked together safely and orderly, in accordance with God’s plan.   노방전도, 7:30PM 멕시코 미션의 빠질수 없는 꽃 노방전도세미너리에서 준비해주신 맛있는 저녁식사를 마친 후 해가 지기전 서둘러 세미너리 근처 이웃들을 향한 아웃리치가 8개의 팀으로 나눠져 진행되었습니다. 준비한 스페니쉬 사영리가 나눠지고 어떤때는 그들을 향한 미소에서, 어떤때는 친절한 인사한 마디로, 다양한 방법으로 그렇게 작은 씨앗이 뿌려지고, 우리는 틔여주실 주님을 기대하며, 이웃을 향해 나아갔습니다. Street Evangelism – 7:30 PM One of the most beautiful and essential parts of our mission: street evangelism. After a delicious dinner provided by the seminary, eight teams quickly set out before the sun set, reaching out to neighbors nearby. Spanish-language “Four Spiritual Laws” tracts were handed out, and we shared seeds of the gospel in various ways—sometimes with a smile, sometimes with a kind greeting. We looked to the Lord with hope, believing He would cause these seeds to grow.In just one hour, our NCBC Mexico Mission Team moved through the streets, sowing the seeds of the Gospel with joy and determination. 

안녕하세요~ 이번 멕시코 선교보고를 맡은 이수연입니다. 다른 선교와는 조금은 다른~ 우리 아이들을 보내는 선교라 더욱 더 뜨거운 관심을 받는 선교이지 않을까 싶네요.  많은 분들이 기다리셨을것 같은데, 우여 곡절 끝에, 지금은 구글 닥에 먼저 선고보고를 쓰고 있습니다. 우당탕탕 43명의 아이들과 17명의 어른, 그리고 주님이 다 해결해주시는 멕시코 선교, 그 첫날을 함께 떠나보실까요! 2025/ 06/29 주일 오전 5시 교회, 웅성웅성 아이들과 부모님들, 목회자님들, 선교에 참여하는 어른이 교회로 모여 정성으로 준비한 여러 프로그램들의 준비물과 슬리핑백, 짐들을 차에 하나하나 실기 시작했습니다. 와글와글 아이들의 정성들인 준비과정이 그렇게 차속에 담겨졌습니다. 5시반부터 시작된  문정현목사님의 짧은 말씀과 손목사님의 축도와 함께, 그렇게 60명의 형제자매님들이 멕시코의 땅으로 파송되었습니다. Sunday, June 29, 2025 – 5:00 AM at ChurchThe church was buzzing early in the morning as children, parents, pastors, and adult volunteers gathered together. One by one, we began loading cars with carefully prepared program materials, sleeping bags, and luggage — every item filled with the love and prayers of our children. Their excitement was contagious, and the atmosphere was lively and joyful.At 5:30 AM, Pastor Moon shared a short message, followed by Pastor Sohn’s prayer of blessing.With that, all 60 members of our mission team were officially sent off to the land of Mexico. 아이들의 설렘과 기대가 새벽 6시에도 차에서 잠을 자지 않는 기적으로 나타나더라구요. 그 기적을 잠시 미뤄두며,  내일을 위한 체력비축을 위해 골아떨어지는 아이들을 바라보며, 그렇게 LA로 향했습니다. Even at 6 AM, the children were so full of anticipation and excitement that they didn't fall asleep in the car — a small miracle in itself!Eventually, they dozed off to rest and regain strength for the coming days, and our journey toward LA began.그렇게 7시간을 꼬박 운전하여, 드디어 갈보리 교회에 점심을 위해 멈췄습니다. 주일이라 교회자체도 성도님들로 바쁘실텐데, 매년 마다 저희를 반겨주시는 갈보리교회의 목사님과 성도님들께 감사하여, 또 이 많은 인원의 식사를 준비한 인앤아웃과 쉬지 않고 달려 먼저 도착해서 주문에서 배달까지 해주신 형제님들께도 감사를 전합니다. After seven hours on the road, we finally arrived at Calvary Church, where we stopped for lunch.It was a busy Sunday for them, yet as they do every year, the pastor and congregation warmly welcomed us with open arms.We are truly grateful to them and also to In-N-Out, which provided meals for our large group, as well as the brothers who went ahead of us to place the order and coordinate delivery without pause.맛있는 점심을 먹고 다시 기운이 난 우리 아이들은 차안에서 성경구절을 외우고, 가는 길목에서 만난 산불을 보며, 주변의 피해를 위해 기도하며, 그렇게 멕시칼리로 향하는 시간들을 준비해 가고 있었습니다. 점점 더 멕시칼리와 가까워 지며, 3자리의 온도(113도)에,, 다시 한번 마음의 준비를 하며, 그렇게 멕시칼리로 달려나갔습니다. Recharged by a delicious lunch, our kids began memorizing Bible verses in the van and even prayed together as we passed a wildfire on the way, lifting up those affected. As we neared Mexicali and the temperature hit a scorching 113°F (45°C), we braced ourselves — mentally and physically — for what lay ahead. 점점 더 외부 풍경이 우리가 알던 풍경과 달라지며, 그렇게 보더 근처에 도착했습니다.그곳에서 우리를 위해 마중나오신 세미나리 목사님을 만날수 있었습니다. 그곳에서 멕시코 국경을 건널 준비와 이야기를 나눈후, 드디어 멕시코 국경으로 향하였습니다. The landscape began to change, no longer looking like the scenery we were used to, and we finally reached the border area. There, we were greeted by a seminary pastor who had come to meet us. After talking through the border crossing process, we moved toward the Mexico border, thinking it would be a smooth entry.잠시 쉬는 시간을 이용한 성경구절 암송과 그 잠시의 틈에도 주님을 전도 하고 그 사람들을 위해 기도하는 아이들을 보며 온전한 순종이 무엇인지, 삶으로 살아간다는게 어떤건지 다시 한번 생각해보는 시간이였습니다.Watching the children use even short breaks to memorize Bible verses, share the gospel, and pray for those they encountered reminded me once again what true obedience looks like — and what it really means to live out our faith through our daily lives.  저녁식사를 향한 성경구정 암송과 그 작은 틈을 사용해서 기도를 해주는 아이들을 바라보며, 주님 말씀을 온전히 순종하는 아이들의 모습에 다시 한번 우리 자신을 돌아보는 시간이였습니다.  멕시코 국경에서는 그냥 들어가는 가 싶었는데, 멕시코 국경경찰은 모든 차들을 한곳에 모으고, 사람이 많다 물건이 많다, 물건을 팔려고 하는건 아니냐 라는 등, fine이 500불이다 라는 많은 말들을 했고, 저희는 즉시 폴목사님의 말씀에 따라 아이들과 함께 기도하기 시작했고, 기도가 끝나자마자, 그 어떤 범칙금도, 딴지도 없이, 그냥 저희를 보내주는 주님이 일하시는 기적을 또 맛보았습니다. 그렇게 주님이 직접 일하심을 시작으로 멕시코의 여정이 시작되었습니다.However, once there, the Mexican border police gathered all our vehicles together. They questioned the size of our group, asked if we were planning to sell items, and even mentioned a potential $500 fine. In that moment, following Pastor Paul’s guidance, we immediately gathered the children and began to pray. Amazingly, right after the prayer, the officers let us through without any fines or penalties — a clear sign of God's divine intervention.7시에 아무 탈없이 세미너리에 도착한 60명의 멕시코 팀은 성경구절 암송 후 모두 맛있는 저녁을 먹을수 있었습니다. 또 이곳에서 반가운 얼굴들!! 새누리의 아버지 학교 형제님들이 이곳을 방문중이셔서 인사를 나누며, 주님은 하나의 마음을 만들어 주시는 것을 다시 한번 느낄수 있었습니다. At 7:00 PM, our 60-member team safely arrived at the seminary in Mexicali. We closed the evening with Bible verse memorization and a hearty dinner. To our surprise and joy, we also ran into familiar faces — brothers from the SaeNuri Church Father School were visiting at the same time! We set out with a heart full of compassion for the people of Brazil, hoping to journey through this land in prayer and intercession.먼저 브라질 전통 마을을 찾아간 브라질 선교팀브라질 아마존의 전통과 문화를 지키며 살아가는 "두유꽈" 라는 부족 이였습니다.First, our Brazil mission team visited a traditional village. It was home to the "Duyukwa" tribe, a people who preserve the traditions and culture of the Brazilian Amazon.오후에는 브라질 전통 시장을 방문하였습니다.이곳에서도 최강 브라질 팀에 선교가 이어지는데요.In the afternoon, we visited a traditional Brazilian market. Even there, the Brazil mission team continued street evangelism.먼저는 스킷 팀 부터 나와 아무도 주목하지 않는 광장 앞에서 연극을 시작하였습니다.First, the skit team stepped forward and began their performance in front of a plaza where no one was paying attention.스피커 소리와 광장에서 무언갈 하고 있구나 라는 모습에 주변 사람들이 하나 둘 모이기 시작했습니다.As the sound from the speakers filled the air and people noticed something happening in the plaza, they began to gather one by one.기세를 몰아, 준비했던 바디 워십도 선보였습니다.Riding the momentum, we also presented the body worship we had prepared.스킷과 바디워십을 모여드린후, 황 목사님이 나오셔서 복음을 전파 하셨습니다."여러분 저희는 여러분과 함께 천국에 가고 싶습니다!!!"After the skit and body worship drew the crowd in, Pastor Hwang stepped forward and shared the gospel.“We want to go to heaven with you!”저희 촤강 브리질 팀은 전원 포르투갈어를 할줄 모릅니다, 복음팔찌도 그동안에 노방전도로 전부 소진해 버리고 정말 조금밖에 없느 상황에서, 그들에게 찾아가 하나님께서 주시는 담대한 마음과 번역기, 본인이 차고있던 복음팔찌들을 넘겨주며 그들이 정말 다시 하나님께 돌아올수 있도록 전심을 다하여그리스도의 사랑을 전하고, 서로 기도해 주었습니다.Our Brazil team does not speak Portuguese at all. Having used up all our gospel bracelet through street evangelism, we had very few left.Approaching them, we gave them the boldness that God provided, used a translator app, and handed over the gospel bracelets we were wearing, doing our best to share Christ’s love so they could truly return to God. May the peace of Christ be with you.Today marks the final day of our mission in Brazil’s Amazon—and it is also the day we serve in one of the riverbank villages, a community living in poverty along the Amazon River.Our schedule followed the same pattern as in other areas of Manaus: VBS (Vacation Bible School) and medical outreach.Not knowing how many children or patients would gather, we set out early in the morning, braving the intense heat nearing 90°F (32°C).With hearts full of expectancy, we headed toward the Amazon riverside village, trusting that God loves this land and is already at work there.그렇게 40여분을 달려 첫 날 아마존에서 배를 타고 들어갔었던, 항구 Porto Da Ceasa에 도착을 하엿습니다.After about 40 minutes of driving, we arrived at Porto da Ceasa, the same port where we had first boarded the boat on our very first day in the Amazon.Returning to this familiar place brought back memories of that initial excitement and nervous anticipation—only this time, we came with hearts full of testimonies and gratitude for all that God has already done.하나 둘 버스에 실었던 짐들을 하나하나 꺼내어 배에 실어야 했습니다.그러나 늘 탔던 그 큰 배가 아니라, 관광용 모터 보트였습니다... 40여분을 달려 드디어 마을이 모이기 시작했습니다.bout 40 more minutes on the road, we finally began to see signs of the village coming into view.There was a quiet sense of anticipation in the air—hearts prepared, hands ready, and prayers lifted for the people we were about to meet.막상 도착을 하니 상황이 더욱 열악했습니.들어가는 입구에서 부터 험란함이 찾아왔는데요, 배에서 내려 본당에 까지 가기가 푹푹 발이 빠지는 것 이, 단순이 늪에 개념에서 벗어나, 닭과 버팔로 개 등 가축들의 베설물과 재래식 화장실에서 나오는 인분들 등 모두가 땅으로 내려가 아마존 강물가 섞여 이상한 냄새도 나고 씻기을 수도 없이 불편하지만, 그리스도의 사랑을 전하기 위해 계속해서 불편한 상황에도 나아가자 라고 고백했던 것들로 버티고 또 하나님의 사랑이 오늘 우리로 인해 강변에 잘 뿌리 내려 질수록 기도하며 하나 둘 짐을 옮겼습니다Upon arrival, it became immediately clear just how serious the situation was.From the very entrance into the village, we faced challenges. As we disembarked from the boat and began walking toward the main church building, our feet sank deeply into the soft, muddy ground.It wasn’t just a typical marshland—what we encountered was a mix of animal waste from chickens, buffaloes, and dogs, along with human waste from rudimentary, traditional latrines. The smell was overwhelming, and basic hygiene was difficult to maintain.Yet in the midst of it all, we remembered our confession: to make the name of the Lord holy.With that heart, we pressed on—praying that the work we had committed to, and the name of the Lord we proclaimed, would take deep root in this riverside village. After that, each team member dispersed to their respective areas to begin the day’s ministry.계속 사역을 하며 아픈 팀원들이 계속해서 속출하였습니다.간단한 치료후 기도로서 서로를 중보해 주며 사역을 시작 하였습니다.Even up to today, some of our team members were feeling unwell.After receiving basic treatment, we began the day by interceding for one another in prayer.VBS를 진행하게될 빨간 건물, 배가 정박해 있는 물가와 가까이 있어 쉽게 이동할수 있을수 있지만, 다치거나 지병이 있는 사람들이 오래 걷지 못하여 그들을 위하여 기도하는 마음으로 이동하였고The red building where the VBS would take place was conveniently located near the waterfront where our boat was docked. It was a time full of laughter, songs, crafts, and most importantly—God’s love. Let’s begin Day 6 of the Strongest Amazon Mission!오늘은 아침부터 이곳 마나우스 땅에 비가 내렸습니다.아마존 강변 마을과는 달리 실내 사역을 주로 하다 보니 큰 영향을 없을까? 생각했지만 오후에 노방전도가 있을 텐데 걱정하는 마음을 한편에 두고 아침 예배로 마음을 다잡는 시간을 가졌습니다.\\애배소서 4장 1-16절 말씀을 큐티로 묵상하며 공통 된 나눔이 16절로"그에게서 온 몸이 각 마디를 통하여 도움을 받음으로 연결되고 결합되어 각 지체의 분량대로 역사하여 그 몸을 자라게 하며 사랑 안에서 스스로 세우느니라"선교팀 각자가 맡은 사역지가 다 다르지만, 우리들이 이곳 브라질에서 결국 그리스도의 사랑을 이루워 내기 위하여 서로에게서 도움을 받음으로 연결이 되어야 한다는 마음은모든 팀원들에게 공통으로 주신것 같았습니다. 서로를 사랑으로 용납하며 서로를 돌보며 그 마음을 잘 지키길 기도하는 마음으로 VBS, 의료사역을 시작했습니다.During our quiet time, we reflected on Ephesians 4:1–16, with a shared focus landing on verse 16: "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." Though each member of the mission team is serving in a different area, we were reminded that in order to truly embody Christ’s love here in Brazil, we must be connected — helping and supporting one another.It felt as though God placed this same conviction in all our hearts: that we are called to be united through love, embracing one another, caring for each other, and working together to fulfill His purpose.With that prayerful mindset, we began our VBS and medical ministry for the day. 비가 추적추적 내리는 날인데도 아이들은 비를 피해 교회 구석구석에서 기다리고 있다가 교회 문이 열리기가 무섭게 너무나도 해맑게 들어왔습니다.Even though a rain was falling, the children waited patiently — tucked into corners of the church to stay dry.And the moment the doors opened, they rushed in with the brightest, most joyful smiles, as if the rain hadn’t touched them at all.아이들을 즐겁게 맞이하고 있을 시간, 아래층 의료사역 팀에서도분주하게 사역을 준비하고 계셨습니다. 약이 모자라 현지에서 충당한 약을 다시 채워놓기도 해야했고, 또 채워야 할 부분들과 조금 더 효과적으로 사역을 알수 있게끔 재정비도 필요했지만무엇보다 팀원들 한사람 사람을 위한 기도가 무엇보다 중요했습니다. While we were joyfully welcoming the children upstairs,downstairs, the medical ministry team was also busy preparing for the day’s work.They needed to restock some medications that had run out, sourcing more locally. There was also a need to reorganize certain areas to make the ministry flow more effectively and smoothly.But above all, the most important preparation was prayer — prayer for each team member, one by one, that they would be strengthened and used mightily for God’s work that day.준비를 마치고 환자들을 보기 시작한 의료팀원들,오늘도 역시 환자가 많았습니다...After finishing preparations, the medical team began seeing patients.As expected, there were many patients today as well...다시 2층 VBS, 이제 신나는 찬양과 율동의 시간이네요.아이들과 선생님 모두, 어제 보다 더욱 더 신나고 큰 목소리로 찬양을 하며 온몸으로 하나님을 경배하였습니다.Back on the 2nd floor for VBS — it’s time for energetic praise and dance!Both the children and the teachers were even more enthusiastic than yesterday, lifting their voices louder and moving their bodies with greater joy as they worshiped God with all their hearts. The room was filled with energy, laughter, and the presence of the Lord.4곡을 연달아 춤과 노래로 신나게 드렸으니이제는 더 더욱 신나는 말씀 시간이 찾아 왔습니다.After joyfully dancing and singing through four songs in a row,it was time for something even more exciting — the Word of God!The atmosphere remained full of energy as we transitioned into the message, with hearts wide open to hear what God had prepared for us today."하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는 그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라" (요 3:16)저를 포함하여 많은 팀원들 어쩌면 여러분들도 주일학교때 아마 처음 듣고 신앙의 여정을 시작한 말씀이라고 생각합니다.아이들을 향한 가장 근본적이고 핵심의 말씀을 들으니, 우리의 어렸을때에 들었던 복음이 얼마나 귀한것인지 알고, 또 이 아이들이 지금은 알수 없으나, 믿음으로 장성하여이 시기를 돌아 보았을때,  이 시간과 말씀이 떠오르기를 기도하였습니다.“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16 For me, and many on our team — and perhaps even for many of you — this may have been the very first verse we heard in Sunday school, the verse that began our journey of faith.Hearing this foundational and essential truth spoken over the children today reminded us of just how precious that first encounter with the gospel truly is.We prayed that, though the children may not fully understand it now, they would one day look back — matured in their faith — and remember this moment, this verse, and this day as the start of something beautiful with God.아이들이 무릎을 꿇고 그리스도를 주로 영접하는 귀한 시간도 가졌습니다We also had a deeply precious moment where the children knelt down and received Christ as their Lord.It was a sacred, unforgettable time — witnessing young hearts respond to the gospel with sincerity and openness. provided by Saenuri Church.비록 언어는 통하지 않아 통dur으로 손짓 발짓 마디 랭귀지로 전달하고 있지만, 그리스도의 사랑을 전하고 자 하는 마음은 여기 현지인들도 너무 잘 아는지쉽게 마음을 여시고 복음 팔찌와 복음을 받아 들이시는데에 아무런 거리낌이 없었습니다.Though we don't share the same language and must rely on gestures, body language, and a few translated words, it seems the heart to share Christ's love is clearly understood—even by the locals here.They opened their hearts easily and The ball is passed up, sideways, or backward to the person behind, and when it reaches the end, it’s passed back to the front first—that team wins!It’s a great game to build quick reflexes and teamwork, isn’t it?자 그럼 준비하시고......시작!Alright, get ready...And… go! 그렇게 시간가는줄 모르며 신나게 게임을 하고 있을때, 맑았던 하늘에서 갑자기물방울이 떨어지기 시작했습니다....어..? 비다Just as we were having so much fun playing games that we lost track of time, suddenly, from the clear sky above…Raindrops began to fall....Uh… it’s rain!비록 잠깐의 소나기 였지만, 뜨거웠던 아마존 땅에 날씨에 성령의 단비가 내려, 더웠던 이들에게는 시원함을, 땅에는 생명을 얻는 귀중한 하나님의 선물 같은 시간 이였습니다Though it was just a brief shower, the refreshing rain felt like a shower of the Holy Spirit on the hot Amazon land.For those who were feeling the heat, it brought cool relief, and for the earth, it was a precious gift of life from God.그렇게 비가 오며 VBS 오전 사역을 마무리하고 잠깐 쉬었다가 다시 오후 사역이 시작 됩니다.As the rain came down, we wrapped up the VBS morning session and took a short break—then it was time to begin the afternoon ministry once again.오후에 우리아이들에게 전해졌던 말씀은다윗과 골리앗의 이야기 입니다.아이들에게 간단한 질문으로 포문을 여신 황목사님"여러분들은 골리앗을 이길수 있나요?"The message shared with the children in the afternoon was the story of David and Goliath.Pastor Hwang opened with a simple yet powerful question:“Can you defeat Goliath?”.."Sim~~~~~~!!"​어디선가 들려오는 아~~ 주 어린 아이의 대답에황목사님은 기다렸다는듯 실제 골리앗을 대려오셨습니다From somewhere in the crowd, a very young child’s voice called out with an enthusiastic answer—And just as if he’d been waiting for that moment, Pastor Hwang brought out an actual Goliath! 그렇게 아이는 용감히 골리앗을 물리치며 성경과 비슷한(?) 해피 엔딩으로 목사님은 일화를 아이들에게 잘 설명할수 있었습니다,And just like that, the child bravely defeated Goliath—creating a happy ending that mirrored the Bible story (Sorry… Samuel).It gave Pastor Hwang the perfect opportunity to explain the lesson in a way the children could understand and remember.이어지는 크레프트는, 무장하지 않은 다윗에게, 갑옷과 투구, 칼 등을 주며; 하나님의 전신갑주를 입혀 주었습니다.The craft that followed was all about equipping the unarmed David—with armor, a helmet, and a sword—as a way to illustrate putting on the full armor of God. 같은 시각 2층 의료 사역팀도 오후 사역을 시작하였습니다.At the same time, the medical mission team on the second floor also began their afternoon ministry.각자의 자리에서 수고해 주시는 의료 사역팀 께 다시한번 감사와 존경의 말씀을 전합니다.Once again, we extend our heartfelt gratitude and deep respect to the medical team, who continue to serve faithfully in their respective roles.다시 1층으로 내려와 보니아이들은 기차를 만들고 질서정연하게 밖으로 나가고 있네요Back on the first floor,the children had formed a train and were heading outside in an orderly and cheerful line!오후에는 무슨 게임을 하려나...?I wonder what games are planned for the afternoon...? VBS  팀을 위하여 박수!Let’s give a big round of applause for our medical team! And another huge cheer for the VBS team! All their hard work made today truly special! 말씀을 인도하시고, 최강브라질팀의 리더이신 황목사님깨도 !! 박수!!!   J.Hwang: Obrigado단체사진을 마지막으로 둘째날 VBS를 마칩니다.With a group photo to wrap things up, we bring the second day of VBS to a close.Looking forward to what tomorrow will bring!오후에는 현지 목요 예배가 있어, VBS 를 최대한 마무리 하고 준비해서 바로 예배를 드리러 가려 합니다.In the afternoon, there’s a local Thursday worship service, so we’re planning to wrap up VBS as much as possible and get ready to head straight to the service.VBS와 의료사역 정리 할 시간도 모자르기도 하지만 모두가 같은 한마음으로 예배를 드릴수 있다는 것에 먼 곳이라도 팀원 모두 기대하는 마음으로 출발 하였습니다Though there wasn’t quite enough time to fully wrap up VBS, the thought of all of us coming together in one heart for worship—even in a far-off place—filled us with anticipation.With that shared excitement, the whole team set out, ready to worship.출발하면서 말씀을 전하실 목사님을 위하여 기도하고 As we set out, we took a moment to pray for the pastor who would be sharing the message— lifting him up so that God's word would be spoken boldly and clearly through him.또 선교사님 내외 분들을 위하여 기도하고We also prayed for the missionary couple— asking for strength, protection, and continued grace as they serve faithfully in this land. 그렇게 30여분 쯤 지났을때 어딘선가 보이는 빨간~ 불빛에이 제발.. 설마...After about 30 minutes on the road, suddenly… we spotted a flashing red light in the distance.Oh no… please, no... not that…작년 선교일지를 보신분들은 아시겠지만, 에어컨이 되지 않는 구식 소형 버스 A.K.A 모기버스가 우리를 교회로 대려다 주기 위하여 기다리고 있었습니다.if you read last year’s mission journal, you’ll know exactly what this means…Waiting to take us to the church was the old, small bus without air conditioning—affectionately (or not) known as the “Mosquito Bus.”Yes... it’s back.버스에 자리가 남아 있지 않아 같이온 차 뒷 트렁크에 앉아서 가기로 하였습니다. Since there weren’t any seats left on the bus, some of us decided to ride in the back trunk of the car we came in.Not the most comfortable option—but with cheerful hearts, we made it work 그렇게 현지 교회에 예배를 드리러 잘 도착하였습니다.And just like that, we arrived safely at the local church for worship.Tired but joyful, ready to lift our hearts in praise. 경건과 찬양의 즐거움 그 어딘다가에 있는 우리 팀원들 (자세한 내용은 영상으로 만나보시죠!)The joy of devotion and praise—wherever it may be—our amazing team members! (For the full story, check out the video!) 목사님의 설교 도중 정전이 되는 사고가 일어나기도 하고 스킷 도중에 음악이 꺼지는 바람에 갑분싸가 되기도 하였습니다. 그러나오늘날 우리가 현지인들과 함께 예배함으로서 여러가지를 느낄수 있엇는데요바로 서로 사랑으로 전심을 다해 해주는 기도 였습니다.During the pastor’s sermon, there was a sudden power outage, and the music unexpectedly stopped in the middle of a skit, leaving the room in awkward silence for a moment.But despite the hiccups, something beautiful stood out—Worshiping together with the local believers reminded us of the power of prayer offered in love and with all our hearts.No stage lights, no perfect timing—just genuine faith and heartfelt intercession.우선은 개척을 하신 클라우지우 목사님과, 현재 이 교회에서 헌신하고 계신 목사님을 위하여 기도하였습니다.First, we lifted up prayers for Pastor Cláudio, who founded the church, and for the current pastor faithfully serving and dedicating himself to this congregation.We prayed for strength, wisdom, and God's continued guidance in their ministry.그 다음은 서로를 위하여 기도하는 시간을 가졌습니다.언어도, 문화도 다른 그들을 어떻게 나의 형제로 자매로서 전심으로 나를 위해 기도해 줄수 있을까 라는 질문은 늘 해온것 같습니다.그러나 곳곳에서 볼수 있는 아맨과 할렐루야, 또 눈물로서 누군가를 전심으로 기도해 주는 것을 보며 그런 외형적인 것들은 그리스도의 사랑을 실천하는것에 있어 큰 의미가 없다는 것을 느낄수 있었습니다.Next, we had a time of prayer for one another.I've often wondered: “How can someone so different from me—in language, in culture—pray for me as a true brother or sister, with all their heart?”And yet, in that place, we saw it clearly— cries of “Amen” and “Hallelujah” echoing around the room, tears falling as people prayed earnestly for others they had just met.It was truly a beautiful sight—a glimpse of the body of Christ united in love and faith beyond borders. 그렇게 현지 목요예배를 마무리 하고 다시 베이스 캠프로 가기로 했습니다.And with that, we wrapped up the local Thursday worship service and began our journey back to base camp.Hearts full, spirits lifted, and one step closer to the next chapter of this mission.내일은 아침에 아마존 주변 으로 노방전도를 나가기에, 시간이 부족하여 늦은 시간 피곤한 몸이만 지금 까지 사역했던 짐들을 다시 정리해야만 했습니다.Since we’ll be heading out for street evangelism around the Amazon area early tomorrow morning, time is tight.Though it was late and our bodies were tired, we still had to reorganize and pack up all the supplies from the ministry we've carried out so far.팀 구분 없이 서로 협력하여 모든 짐들과 사용했던 교회를 깨끗하게 정리하였습니다. 내일은 아마존 근방 예배후 노방전도를 나가게 됩니다. 만날 만 한 사람들을 만나게 하시고, 한 영혼을 잃어 버렸다 다시 찾은 아버지의 마음을 느낄수 있는 소중한 시간이 되길 기도해 주세요!Without dividing by team, everyone came together to help—cleaning up the church we used and packing all the supplies with care and unity.Tomorrow, after a nearby worship gathering in the Amazon region, we’ll be heading out for street evangelism.Please pray that we would encounter those whom God has prepared for us to meet—and that through this, we may deeply experience the Father’s heart for even one lost soul who is found again.May it be a truly precious and grace-filled time.....오늘의 엔딩요정 최강 브라질팀 최고 아름다운 미소를 가진 두 자매님의 미소로 최강 브라질 Day 3를 마칩니다Today’s ending fairies:With the radiant smiles of two sisters—members of the mighty Brazil team, we beautifully wrap up Brazil Mission Day 3.최강 브라질팀, 사랑하고 축복합니다! 

샬롬 오늘은 이곳 아마존에서 본격적인 VBS와 의료사역의 첫날입니다.물론 어제 모든것을 준비하고 취침하였지만, 사역의 첫날이기도 하고 혹시나 놓친 것이 있을까? 팀원들 모두 아침 일찍 부터 일어나 분주히 움직였습니다.Shalom! Today marks the official first day of our VBS and medical missions here in the Amazon.Although we had everything prepared and went to bed last night, the fact that it's the first day of ministry—and the thought that we might have missed something—had everyone up early and moving busily this morning. We began the day with prayer, preparing our hearts and minds with a sense of anticipation for what God will do in this land today.분주히 준비하던것들을 잠시 멈추고밤새 지켜주신 하나님께 감사의 예배를, 또 오늘 모든 사역의 시종을 하나님께 의탁하는 예배를 드렸습니다.We paused our busy preparations for a moment to offer a service of thanksgiving to God, who watched over us through the night, and to dedicate the beginning and end of today’s ministries into His hands.찬양과 말씀 후 큐티로 오늘 하루 우리에게 주신 말씀들을 기억하고 나누며 오늘 하루를 다짐하는 시간도 가졌습니다.After a time of praise and the Message, we spent time in Quiet Time (QT), reflecting on and sharing the message God has given us for today, and committing ourselves to live it out throughout the day.아침 예배를 은혜롭게 마무리하며 하나님께 감사 드리고이제 다시 오늘 하루 진행할 사역들을 각자 흩어져 준비하기로 하였습니다.As we wrapped up the morning worship with hearts full of grace and gratitude to God, we then dispersed to prepare for the day’s ministries, each team member returning to their respective roles.  분장도 변신도 필요했고, 챙기지 못했었던 약도, 썬글라스도 이제 준비가 잘 되어진 것 같으니, 아이들과 도움이 필요한 환자분들만 오시면 만사 오케이!!Costumes and makeovers were needed for VBS Team, and Medicine and sunglasses we had forgotten to display are now ready— so as long as the children and patients in need show up, everything will be perfectly in place!자!!!!! 드디어!!!!!!!! 아이들이!!!!!!!! 들어옵니다!!!!!!!정말 기도하는 마음으로 아이들과 도움이 필요한 환자들을 기다렸던 팀원들의 기도 제목들이 이루어진 감격적인 순간이였습니다. It was a deeply moving moment, as the heartfelt prayers of our team members—who had been waiting with such anticipation and faith for the children and patients in need—were beautifully answered열심히 앞에 선생님을 따라 율동 하는 아이들!The children eagerly followed the teacher at the front, dancing and doing the motions with so much energy and joy!그리고 하트!And of course—lots of hearts!  The kids made heart signs with their hands, filling the room with love and excitement.아이들과 함께 목사님의 말씀을 들으며 아이들의 귀와 마음에도 복음이 들어가는 순간이였습니다.As we listened to the pastor's message together with the children, it was a precious moment when the Gospel gently entered not only their ears but also their hearts.같은 시간 2층 의료사역팀도 슬슬 사역이 시작 되었습니다.At the same time, on the second floor, the medical missions team also began their work, slowly getting into the flow of the day’s ministry.  말도 잘 통하지 않을 뿐만 아니라, 많은 의료 전문적인 단어들이 난무하는 곳이지만 그들의 낫고자 하는 간절함들이, 통역을 통하여 또 번역기를 통하여도 고스란히 전달 되었습니다.Though communication was challenging—with language barriers and an abundance of complex medical terms—the patients’ sincere desire to be healed was clearly conveyed, whether through interpreters or even translation apps.물론 너무나 귀한 우리 의료팀의 실력도 실력이지만, 결국 환자를 낫게하시는 이 는 하나님 뿐임을 그리고 그 간절함을 하나님께 기도로 아뢰고,혹여나 환자들 중 그리스도를 주로 믿지 않는 자가 있다면, 오늘로서 영접하게 되길 간절한 마음으로 기도해드렸습니다. Of course, while we are deeply grateful for the incredible skill and dedication of our medical team, we were reminded once again that true healing ultimately comes from God alone.So we lifted up each patient in prayer, asking God to respond to their deep longing for healing. And for those who do not yet know Christ as their Lord, we prayed with sincere hearts that today would be the day they come to receive Him.자 이제 다시 1층으로 내려가 우리 VBS팀과 아이들은 뭘 하면서 놀고 있을지 볼까요?Now, let’s head back down to the first floor— shall we see what our VBS team and the children are up to and how they’re playing together?승훈형제가 크레프트팀 선생님이 되어 아이들에게 열심히 설명을 하고 계셨네요 ㅎㅎThere was Brother Liam, serving as the craft team teacher, enthusiastically explaining the activity to the children—so full of energy and heart! 오늘 크레프트의 주제는 오병이어의 빵과 물고기를 담았던 광주리 만들기 입니다.가진것을 내어줬던 어린아이의 마음이 많은 이들을 먹이게 된 그 바구니 인데요Today’s craft theme was making baskets that held the loaves and fishes from the feeding of the 5,000.These baskets represent the heart of the young boy who gave what he had, which was then used to feed many.다른 선생님들도 각 조로 흩어져 아이들을 도와 준비해온 만들기를 하며즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.The other teachers also spread out among the groups, helping the children with the crafts they had prepared in advance, sharing joyful and meaningful moments together. 자! 이제 만들기도 다 했겠다!아이들과 선생님 다 좋아하는 게임타임!Alright! Green Light!” : the beloved Korean children’s game everyone knows and loves!브라질 친구들에게 룰이 다소 생소할수 있어 하늘 선생님의 설명과 다른 선생님들의 데모버전으로아이들에게 K-전통 놀이의 즐거움을 선사해 주었습니다.Since the rules might have been unfamiliar to our Brazilian friends, Sister Kayleah and the other teachers demonstrated the game, bringing the joy of this traditional Korean play to the children.그 어느때보다 진지했던 데모 플레이....ㅋThe demo play was more serious than ever...  Everyone was so focused—it almost felt like a championship match!이쯤 되면 잘~ 설명 된것 같으니 이제 본게임으로 넘어가 봅시다!At this point, it seems the rules were explained perfectly— so let’s jump into the real game! Cham!사진으로는 다 표현할수 없는 웃음과 즐거움이 난무 했던 현장 이였습니다.It was a scene filled with laughter and joy—a moment so full of fun that no photo could ever fully capture the energy and smiles!즐겁게 게임을 즐겼으니, 이제 아이들에게 간식을 나눠줄 시간이 되었습니다.After all the fun and excitement, it was finally time to hand out snacks to the children! A sweet little break to recharge and enjoy a treat together.오늘 아이들의 간식은, 오병이어 만큼은 아니지만, 작은 것에서 큰 음식으로 변화하는 팝콘!!Today’s snack for the kids wasn’t quite the five loaves and two fish— but just like that miracle, it was something small that turns into something big...Popcorn! A perfect reminder of how even little things can bring joy and be multiplied! 그렇게 간식을 끝으로 오전 세션을 마무리 하였지만?마무리 같지 않았던 이유가 있었습니다.And so, with the snack time, we wrapped up the morning session— but it didn’t feel like an ending at all...There was a good reason for that!바로 밖에서 비누방울과, 페이스 페인팅과 판박이를 진행했기 때문이죠That’s because Bubbles and face painting and temporary tattoos were happening just outside! The fun continued as the kids lined up excitedly, eager to get their faces painted and pick out their favorite designs. 그렇게 원래는 쉬는시간이여야 했던 1시간 가량의 시간조차 아이들과 시간을 보내는 것으로 대신하였고And just like that, even the hour originally meant for rest turned into more time spent with the children—sharing laughter, creativity, and joy.이제 오후 세션으로 넘어가려 합니다!  Now, we’re ready to move into the afternoon session!오후 세션도 동일하게 진행되었습니다. 오프닝 찬양과 크레프트 그리고 또 게임 그리고 간식The afternoon session followed a similar structure—starting with opening praise, then moving into craft time, followed by more games, and of course, snacks to wrap it up!같은 시각 2층 의료 사역팀도, 오후 사역을 시작 하였습니다.At the same time, on the second floor, the medical missions team began their afternoon session as well— continuing to serve with care, compassion, and prayer.  자 의료팀 사역도 순조롭게 진행되고 있는거 같으니 다시 1층으로 내려가 볼까요?어? 예배당이 비어잇는데?아~ 게임 시간이라 밖으로 나갔군요!Looks like the medical team’s ministry is going smoothly, so let’s head back down to the first floor.Hmm? It’s game time, so everyone must have gone outside!오전에는 K-전통놀이로 아이들의 마음을 사로 잡았었다면이번에는 글로벌 하게 아이들이 좋아하는 술래잡기!In the morning, we captured the children’s hearts with traditional Korean games but this time, it was time for a globally loved favorite: tag!아니 100도가 넘어가는 날씨인데도 아이들은 저렇게나 쌩쌩 잘 달리 더라구요...?Right? Even in temperatures soaring above 100 degrees, the kids were running around full of energy like it was nothing!술래잡기는 몸풀기였다!이제는 본게임! 브라질 하면 축구! 축구하면 브라질다음 게임은 기대하시라 축구!!!Tag was just a warm-up!Now, for the main event—when you think of Brazil, you think of soccer; and when you think of soccer, you think of Brazil.Get ready for the next game: Soccer!  비록 아이들의 게임성 축구 경기였지만브라질의 쌈바 축구의 열정을, 브라질 축구의 미래의 밝음을 다시금 확인할수 있는 좋은 기회였습니다.축구를 좋아하는 선생님들 또한 같이 뛰며 그 순간을 즐겼습니다.Though it was a kid like style soccer game,it was a wonderful opportunity to witness the passion of Brazilian samba soccer and the bright future of Brazilian football.The teachers who love soccer also joined in, running alongside the kids and sharing in the joy of the moment.힘들게 뛰어 놓았던 보람이 있었을까요?준비해주신  오후 간식 역시 아이들이 너무 좋아했습니다.Was all that running worth it? Absolutely!The afternoon snacks prepared for the kids were a huge hit—they loved every bite! 이제 아이들이 이 순간을 기억했으면 좋겠어서 선물들과 함께 폴라로이드 사진을 주기로 하였습니다To help the children remember this special moment, we decided to give them Polaroid photos along with some giftsa little keepsake to cherish the memories made today 아이들에게 작별을 고하는것은 어쩌면 아이들보다 선생님들이 더 아쉬운 마음이 클지도 모르겠습니다.아쉬운 마음에 모두 한걸음에 달려 나와 아이들의 가는 길을 배웅해주고.한번이라도 안아주고, 사진이라도 더 찍어주고 하며 아이들을 집으로 돌려 보내어 주었습니다.It seems the teachers felt the parting more deeply than the children did.With heavy hearts, everyone rushed outside to see the kids off,giving hugs, snapping a few last photos, and making sure each child left feeling loved as they headed home.그렇게 떠나 보내기 어려웠던 아아들을 보내며... 아마존의서의 첫 VBS와 의료 사역은 하나님의 은혜안에 잘 마무리 할수 있었습니다.Though it was hard to say goodbye to the children,our first VBS and medical mission in the Amazon came to a successful close, all under God’s grace and blessing. 각 팀이 모여 기도로, 나눔으로 오늘 하루의 사역을 뒤돌아 보는 시간도 가졌습니다.Each team gathered together for a time of prayer and sharing, reflecting on the day’s ministry and the ways God had moved among them. 이렇게 오늘 하루가 마무리 되나 했지만!Just when we thought the day was winding down아직 하나님께 감사한 오후 팀 예배가 남아 있었기에... 아직 하루를 마무리 하기에는 쪼금! 아쉬웠습니다!There was still the afternoon team worship to give thanks to God, so it felt a little too soon to call the day completely over!분주하게 냅다 달려 72시간의 시간에 찾아온 시간, 이 시간 역시도 물론 하나님이 허락하신 시간이라는 것을 팀 예배를 통해 할수 있었습니다.After rushing busily through 72 hours of ministry, the moment to gather finally arrived—and through the team worship, we were reminded that this time too was a precious gift, graciously given by God.간단하게 재정비를 한 이후 하나님께서 오늘 하루 사역동안 나에게 주신 은혜를 나누는 자리를 가졌습니다.한사람 한사람의 간증이 너무나도 소중하고 늘 기도로 동역하고 싶은 마음이 저절로 들었습니다.After a brief time of regrouping, we shared about the grace God had given each of us throughout the day’s ministry.Every single testimony was so precious, inspiring a heartfelt desire to continue partnering in prayer and service together.그리고는 신나게 찬양하며 서로를 위하여 기도해주는 시간을 가졌습니다.오늘 암송구절은 마침 요한복음 13장 34절"새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라, 내가 너희를 사랑한것 같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라"나의 형제 자매를 향한 참된 사랑을 실천할수 있는 좋은 기회의 자리였습니다. Then, we joyfully praised God together and spent time praying for one another.Today’s memory verse was John 13:34: "A new command I give you: Love one another. 안녕하세요 오늘은 드디어 기도하며 기다려온 아마존 선교를 위하여 아마존 땅으로 들어가는 첫날입니다!아마존 강 위에서 찍은 단체사진으로 아마존 첫날의 소식 시작하겠습니다!Hello! Today is finally the first day we enter the land of the Amazon for the Amazon mission we have been praying and waiting for!We'll start the first day's update with a group photo taken on the Amazon River!마나우스에 도착하고 각자의 짐도 몸과 마음의 정리도 사치인듯 그렇게 잠에 든지 3시간쯤 지났을까요…요란한 알람소리와 함께 마나우스 도착 후 첫 사역의 서막이 올랐습니다.After arriving in Manaus, it felt like even organizing our belongings—or our hearts and minds—was a luxury. We prayed that all the luggage would arrive at the destination without any missing anything, and we started our journey by encouraging and comforting each other with one heart, hoping that all the missionary team members would be able to check in without any document problems.자 이제 센프란시스코 에서 파나마로, 파나마에서 브라질 마나우스로, 마나우스에서 아마존 강변으로 들어가는 여정이 시작됩니다.장시간 비행과, 배로 이동하는 가운데 팀원들의 안전과 마음의 평화 그리고 그 땅에서 하나님이 일 하실 일들을 위하여 기도해주세요!!So now the journey begins from San Francisco to Panama, from Panama to Manaus, Brazil, and from Manaus to the Amazon River.Please pray for the safety of the team members, peace of mind, and the work of God in that land during the long flight and boat ride!!.....7시간 반의 비행후 첫번째 경유지인 파나마의 도착하였습니다.After a 7 and a half hour flight, we arrived at our first stopover, Panama.파나마에서 10시간을 레이오버를 하게 됩니다.그 동안 팀원들과 함께 하나님께서 주신 말씀의 양식 으로 그 10시간을 다 체워 볼까 합니다.We will have a 10-hour layover in Panama.During this time, the team members will try to fill up those 10 hours with the food of the Word that God has given us.각자 조별로 흩어져 나눔을 시작하였습니다. 그 어느 때 보다 깊고 뜨겁게 나눌수 있는 팀원들의 모습을 적지 않게 볼수 있었습니다.We split up to group and began sharing. We were able to see many team members sharing more deeply and passionately than ever before.목사님 까지 참전하여 청년들 사이에서 뜨겁게 달아올은 주제에 시간가는줄 모르고 나눔과 토론을 진행하였습니다.주제가 궁금하시다면 선교의 현장으로 오세요!Even the pastor Hwang joined in, and the topic—a hot issue has been brought up among the young adult group—led to such passionate sharing and discussion that we lost track of time.If you're curious about the topic, come to the mission field!자 이제 빠질수 없는 말씀 암송 타임!암송하지 못하는자, 자유시간은 없노라!Now, it's time for the unmissable memorization time!Those who can't memorize, have no free time!...그렇게 말씀 묵상과 나눔, 열정이 가득했던 토론, 또 실수 연발 이였던 말씀 암송을 다 하고 나니이제 다음 목적지인 브라질 마나우스행 비행시간이 훌쩍 다가왔습니다자 그럼 이제 마나우스로 떠나 볼까요?레쓰고!After finishing our time of Scripture meditation and sharing, the passionate discussions, and even the mistake-filled Scripture memorization...Before we knew it, it was almost time for our next flight—to Manaus, Brazil!Shall we head to Manaus now?Let’s go!4시간에 걸쳐 아마존강이 있는 브라질 마나우스 땅에 짐 포함 팀원 전원 모두 안전하게 도착 하였습니다.긴 여정을 은혜로 지켜주신 하나님께 감사합니다. After 4 hours, all the team members including luggage arrived safely in Manaus, Brazil, where the Amazon River is located.Praise God who protected us with grace during the long journey. 모든 세관을 통과하고 1 차 베이스 캠프인 마나우스 동산교회로 발걸을을 옮겼습니다.After passing through all customs and immigration, we headed to the first base camp: Igreja Presbiteriana Jardim Do Amazonas현지시각 4:30 am  마나우스 동산교회에 도착한 팀원들은...선교사님 내외분과 현지 목회자, 사역자 분들의 반가운 모습과 따듯한 환대로긴 여정에 지체있던 팀원들은 안전한 집에 온 것 처럼 이제서야 긴장한 마음을 놓을수 있었습니다.At 4:30 a.m. local time, the team arrived at Church in Manaus...Welcomed warmly by the missionary couple, local pastors, and ministry workers, the team—tired from the long journey—finally felt at ease, as if they had come home to a safe place.하나님께서 사랑하시는 이 먼 브라질 땅 까지 안전하게 올수 있게 해주신 하나님을 찬양합니다.이제 잠깐의 휴식 후, 아침 바로 장시간에 걸쳐 배로 아마존 강으로 들어갑니다. 분주한 일정에 주눅 들거나 힘듦에 집중하는것이 아니라, 하나님이 사랑하시는 이 땅, 이 민족을 위한 마음과 기도가 팀원 들 가운데 끊이지 않기를, 무엇보다 타이트한 일정속에 팀원 모두의 영육간에 강건함 을 위하여 기도해 주시면 감사하겠습니다.Praise God for bringing us safely all the way to this distant land of Brazil, a place dearly loved by Him.After a short rest, we will head straight into the Amazon River by boat for an extended journey. Rather than being overwhelmed by the busy schedule or focused on the fatigue, we pray that each team member will continually carry God’s heart and prayer for this land and its people whom He loves so deeply.
